sambandh- is adhyay ke chauthe se barahavean shlok tak bhagavan ne apane mat ke anusar tyag ke lakshan batalaye. tadanantar terahavean se satrahavean shlok tak sannyas (saankhy) ke svaroop ka niroopan karake sannyas mean sahayak sattvagun ka grahan aur usake virodhi raj evan tam ka tyag karane ke uddeshy se atharahavean se chalisavean shlok tak gunoan ke anusar jnan, karm aur karta adi mukhy-mukhy padarthoan ke bhed samajhaye aur aant mean samast srishti ko gunoan se yukt batalakar us vishay ka upasanhar kiya. vahaan tyag ka svaroop batalate samay bhagavan ne yah bat kahi thi ki niyat karm ka svaroop se tyag uchit nahian hai[2] apitu niyat karmoan ki asakti aur phal ke tyagapoorvak karate rahana hi vastavik tyag hai[3], kiantu vahaan yah bat nahian batalayi ki kisake liye kaun-sa karm niyat hai. atev ab sankshep mean niyat karmoan ka svaroop, tyag ke nam se varnit karm-yog mean bhakti ka sahayog aur usaka phal param siddhi ki prapti batalane ke liye punah usi tyagaroop karmayog ka prakaran arambh karate haian.[1] he parantap! brahman, kshatriy aur vaishyoan ke tatha shoodroan ke[4] karm svabhav se utpann gunoan dvara vibhakt kiye gaye haian.[5] antahkaran ka nigrah karana, indriyoan ka daman karana, dharmapalan ke liye kasht sahana, bahar-bhitar se shuddh rahana, doosaroan ke aparadhoan ko kshama karana, man, indriy aur sharir ko saral rakhana, ved, shastr, eeshvar aur paralok adi mean shraddha rakhana, ved-shastroan ka adhyayan-adhyapan karana aur paramatma ke tattv ka anubhav karana- ye sab-ke-sab hi brahman ke svabhavik karm haian.[6][7]

shooravirata,[8] tej,[9] dhairy,[10] chaturata[11] aur yuddh mean n bhagana,[12] dan dena aur svabhiaman[13]- ye sab-ke-sab hi kshatriy ke svabhavik karm haian.[14] kheti,[15] gopalan[16] aur kray-vikray roop saty vyavahar[17] ye vaishy ke svabhavik karm haian tatha sab varnoan ki seva karana[18] shoodr ka bhi svabhavik karm hai. sambandh-is prakar charoan varnoan ke svabhavik karmoan ka varnan karake ab bhaktiyukt karmayog ka svaroop aur phal batalane ke liye, un karmoan ka kis prakar acharan karane se manushy anayas param siddhi prapt kar leta hai- yah bat do shlokoan mean batalate hai- apane-apane svabhavik karmoan mean tatparata se laga hua manushy bhagavatprapti roop param siddhi ko prapt ho jata hai.[19] apane svabhavik karm mean laga hua manushy jis prakar se karm karake param siddhi ko prapt hota hai, us vidhi ko too sun. jis parameshvar sampoorn praniyoan ki utpatti huee hai aur jisase yah samast jagat vyapt hai, us parameshvar ki apane svabhavik karmoan dvara pooja karake[20] manushy param siddhi ko prapt ho jata hai.[21][7]

sambandh-poorvashlok mean yah bat kahi gayi ki manushy apane svabhavik karmoan dvara parameshvar ki pooja karake param siddhi ko pa leta hai; is par yah shanka hoti hai ki yadi koee kshatriy apane yuddhadi krur karmoan ko n karake, brahmanoan ki bhaanti adhyapanadi shaantimay karmoan se apana nirvah karake paramatma ko prapt karane ki cheshta kare ya isi tarah koee vaishy ya shoodr apane karmoan ko uchch varnoan ke karmoan se hin samajhakar unaka tyag kar de aur apane se ooanche varn ki vriti se apana nirvah karake paramatma ko prapt karane ka prayatn kare to uchit hai ya nahian. is par doosare ke dharm ki apeksha svadharm shresht batalakar usake tyag nishedh karate haian.[7]

achchhi prakar acharan kiye hue doosare ke dharm se[22] gunarahit bhi apana shrarmashreshth haian,[23] kh‍yoanki svabhav se niyat kiye hue svadharmaroop karm ko karata hua manushy pap ko nahian prapt hota.[24] atev he kuntiputr! doshayukt hone par bhi sahaj karm ko[25] nahian tyagana chahiye, kh‍yoanki dhooean se agni ki bhaanti sabhi karm kisi-n-kisi dosh se yukt haian.[26] [27]

  5. praniyoan ke janm-janmantaroan ke kiye hue karmoan ke jo sanskar haian, unaka nam svabhav hai; us svabhav ke anuroop praniyoan ke antahkaran mean utpann hone vali sattv, raj aur tam- in gunavrittiyoan ke anusar hi brahman adi varnoan mean manushy utpann hote haian; is karan un gunoan ki apeksha se hi shastr mean charoan varnoan ke karmoan ka vibhag kiya jata hai. jisake svabhav mean keval sattvagun adhik hota hai, vah brahman hota hai; is karan usake svabhavik karm sham-damadi batalaye gaye haian. jisake svabhav mean sattvamishrit rajogun adhik hota hai, yah kshatriy hota hai; is karan usake svabhavik karm shooravirata, tej adi batalaye gaye haian. jisake svabhav mean tamomishrit rajogun adhik hota hai, vah vaishy hota hai; isaliye usake svabhavik karm, krishi, goraksha adi batalaye gaye haian aur jisake svabhav mean rajomishrit tamogun pradhan hota hai, yah shudr hota hai; is karan usaka svabhavik karm tinoan vanoan ki seva karana batalaya gaya hai. is prakar gun aur karm ke vibhag se hi varn-vibhag banata hai, paranh‍tu isaka yah arth nahian ki manamane karm se varn badal jata hai. varn ka mool janm hai aur karm usake svaroop ki raksha mean pradhan karan hai. is prakar janm aur karm donoan hi varn mean avashyak haian. keval karm se varn ko manane vale vastutah varn ko manate hi nahian. varn yadi karm par hi mana jay tab to ek din mean ek hi manushy ko n maloom kitani bar varn badalana p dega. phir to samaj mean koee shrriankhala ya niyam hi n rahega; sarvatha avyavastha phel ho jayagi, parantu bharatiy varnadharm mean aisi bat nahian hai.
  6. brahman mean keval sattvagun ki pradhanata hoti hai, is karan uparyukt karmoan mean usaki svabhavik pravriti hoti hai. usaka svabhav uparyukt karmoan ke anukul hota hai, is karan uparyukt karmoan ke karane mean use kisi prakar ki kathinata nahian hoti. in karmoan mean bahut-se samany dharmoan ka bhi varnan hai. isase yah samajhana chahiye ki kshatriy adi any varnoan ke ve svabhavik karm to nahian hai; parantu paramatma ki prapti mean sabaka adhikar hai, atev unake liye ve prayatnasadhy hai.

  8. bade़-se-b de balavan shatru ka nyayayukt samana karane mean bhay n karana tatha nyayayukt yuddh karane ke liye sada hi utsahit rahana aur yuddh ke samay sahasapoorvak gambhirata se l date rahana ‘shooravirata’ hai. bhishmapitamah ka jivan isaka jvalant udaharan hai.

  14. uparyukt karmoan mean kshatriyoan ki svabhavik pravriti hoti hai, isaka palan karane mean unh‍hean kisi prakar ki kathinaee nahian hoti. in karmoan mean bhi jo dhriti, dan adi samany dharm hai, usamean sabaka adhikar hone ke karan ve any varn valoan ke liye adharm ya paradharm nahian hai; kiantu ve unake svabhavik karm nahian haian. isi karan ve unake liye prayatnasadhy hai.
  15. jamin mean chij bokar gehuan, jo, chane, mooang, dhan, makki, u dad, haldi, dhaniyaan adi samast khady padarthoan ko, kapas aur nana prakar ki aushadhiyoan ko aur isi prakar devata, manushy aur pashu adi ke upayog mean ane vali any pavitr vastuoan ko nyayanukool utpann karane ka nam ‘krishi’ yani kheti karana hai.
  16. nand adi gopi ki bhaanti gauoan ko apane ghar mean rakhana; unako jangal mean charana, ghar mean bhi yathavashyak chara dena, jal pilana aur vyaghr adi hiansak jivoan se unako bachana; unase doodh, dahi, ghrit adi padarthoan ko utpann karake un padarthoan se logoan ki avashyakataoan ko poorn karana aur usake parirvatan mean prapt dhan se apani grihasthi ke sahit un gauoan ka bhalibhaanti nyayapoorvak nirvah karana ‘gaurakshyamh’ yani gopalan hai. pashuoan mean ‘gau’ pradhan hai tatha manushyamatr ke liye sabase adhik upakari pashu bhi ‘gau’ hi hai; isaliye bhagavan ne yahaan ‘pashupalanamh’ pad ka prayog n karake usake badale mean ‘gaurakshyamh’ pad ka prayog kiya hai. atev yah samajhana chahiye ki manushy ke upayogi bhaians, ooant, ghode़, aur hathi adi anyany pashuoan ka palan karana bhi vaishyoan ka karm hai; avashy hi gaupalan un sabaki apeksha adhik mahattvapoorn kartavy hai.
  17. manushh‍yoan ke aur devata, pashu, pakshi adi any samast praniyoan ke upayog mean ane vali samast pavitr vastuoan ko dharmanukool kharidana aur bechana tatha avashyakatanusar unako ek sthan se doosare sthan mean pahuanchakar logoan ki avashyakataoan ko poorn karana ‘vanijy’ yani kray vikray roop vyavahar hai. vanijy karate samay vastuoan ke kharidane-bechane mean taul-nap aur ginati adi se kam de dena ya adhik le lena. vastu ko badal kar ya ek vastu mean doosari vastu milakar achchhi ke badale kharab de dena ya kharab ke badale achchhi le lena; napha, adhat aur dalali adi thaharakar usase adhik lena ya kam dena; isi tarah kisi bhi vyapar mean jhooth, kapat, chori aur jabaradasti ka ya any kisi prakar ke anyay-ka prayog karake doosaroan ke svatv ko h dap lena- ye sab vanijy ke dosh haian. in sab doshoan se rahit jo saty aur nyayayukt pavitr vastuoan ka kharidana aur bechana hai, vahi kray-vikray roop saty vyavahar hai. tuladhar ne is vyavahar se hi siddhi prapt ki thi (mahabharat shaantiparv)
  18. uparyukt dvijati varnoan ki arthat brahman, kshatriy aur vaishyoan ki dasavriti se rahana; usaki ajnaoan ka palan karana; ghar mean jal bhar dena, snan kara dena, unake jivan-nirvah ke karyo mean suvidha kar lena, dainik kary mean yathayogy sahayata karana, unake pashuoan ka palan karana, unaki vastuoan ko samhalakar rakhana, kap de saph karana, kshaurakarm karana, adi jitane bhi seva ke kary haian, un sab ko karake unako santusht rakhana; athava sabake kam mean ane vali vastuoan ko karigari ke dvara taiyar karake un vastuoan se unaki seva karake apani jivika chalana- ye sab ‘paricharyatmak’ yani sab varnoan ki seva karana roop karm ke anh‍targat haian.
  19. samaj-sharir mastishk brahman hai, bahu kshatriy hai, ooroo vaishy hai aur charan shudr hai. charoan ek hi samaj sharir ke char avashyak aang hai aur ek-doosare ki sahayata par surakshit aur jivit hai. ghrina ya apaman ki to bat hi kya hai, inamean se kisi ki tanik bhi avahelana nahian ki ja sakati. n isamean ooanch-nich ki kalpana hai. apane-apane sthan aur kary ke anusar charoan hi b de hai. brahman jnanabal se, kshatriy bahubal se, vaishy dhanabal se aur shudr janabal ya shramabal se b da hai aur charoan ki hi poorn upayogita hai. ek hi ghar ke char bhaeeyoan ki tarah ek hi ghar ki sammilit unnati ke liye charoan bhaee prasannata aur yogyata ke anusar baante hue apane apane prithak-prithak avashyak kartavyapalan mean lage rahate the. ye charoan varn paraspar-brahman dharm sthapana ke dvara, kshatriy bahubal ke dvara, vaishy dhan bal ke dvara aur shuddh sharirik shram bal ke dvara ek doosare ka hit karate hue, samaj ki shakti badhate hue param siddhi prapt kar lete haian.
  20. bhagavan is jagat ki utpatti, sthiti aur sanhar karane vale, sarvashaktiman, sarvadhar, sabake prerak, sabake atma, sarvantaryami aur sarvavyapi haian; yah sara jagat unh‍hian ki rachana hai aur ve svayan hi apani yogamaya se jagat ke roop mean prakat hue haian atev yah samh‍poorn jagat bhagavan ka hai; mere sharir, indriy, man, buddhi tatha mere dvara jo kuchh bhi yajn, dan adi svavarnochit karm kiye jate hai- ve sab bhi bhagavan haian aur maian svayan bhi bhagavan hi hooan; samast devataoan ke evan any praniyoan ke atma hone ke karan ve hi samast karmoan ke bhokta haian. (gita 5:29)- param shraddha aur vishvas ke sath is prakar samast karmoan mean mamata, asakti aur phalechchha ka sarvatha tyag karake bhagavan ki ajnanusar unh‍hian ki prasannata ke liye apana kartavy palan karate hue apane svabhavik karmoan dvara samast jagat ki seva karana- samash‍t praniyoan ko sukh pahuanchana hi apane svabhavik karmoan dvara parameshvar ki pooja karana hai.
  21. pratyek manushy, chahe vah kisi bhi varn ya ashram mean sthit ho, apane karmoan se bhagavan ki pooja karake param siddhiroop paramatma ko prapt kar sakata hai; paramatma ko prapt karane mean sabaka saman adhikar hai. apane shram dam adi karmoan ko uparyukt prakar se bhagavan ke sarmapan karake unake dvara bhagavan ki pooja karane vala brahman jis pad ko prapt hota hai, apane shooravirata adi karmoan ke dvara bhagavan ki pooja karane vala vaishy tatha apane seva sambandhi karmoan dvara bhagavan ki pooja karane vala shoodr bhi usi paramapad ko prapt hota hai. atev karmabandhan se chhootakar paramatma ko prapt karane ka ek bahut hi sugam marg hai. isaliye manushy ko upayukt bhav se apane kartavyapalan dvara parameshh‍var ki pooja karane ka abhyas karana chahiye.
  22. jo karm gunayukt hoan aur jinaka anushthan bhi poornataya kiya gaya ho, kiantu ve anushthan karane vale ke liye vihit n hoan, doosaroan ke liye hi vihit ho- aise bhalibhaanti acharit karmoan ki apeksha arthat jaise vaishy aur kshatriy adi ki apeksha brahman ke vishesh dharmoan mean ahiansadi sadgunoan ki adhikata hai, grihasth ki apeksha sannyas ashram ke dharmoan mean sadgunoan ki bahulata hai, isi prakar shoodr ki apeksha vaishy aur kshatriy karm gunayukt hai, aise paradharm ki apeksha gunarahit svadharm shreshth hai bhav yah hai ki jaise dekhane mean kuroop aur gunarahit hone par bhi stri ke liye apane hi pati ka sevan karana kalyanaprad hai, usi prakar dekhane mean gunoan se hin hone par bhi tatha usake anushthan mean aangavaiguny ho jane par bhi jisake jiye jo karm vihit hai, vahi usake liye kalyanaprad hai
  23. kshatriy ka svadharm yuddh karana aur dushtoan ko dand dena adi hai; usamean ahiansa aur shaanti adi gunoan ki kami maloom hoti hai. isi tarah vaishy ke ‘krishi’ adi karmoan mean bhi hiansa adi doshoan ki bahulata hai, is karan brahman ke shaantimay karmoan ki apeksha ve bhi vigun yani gunahin hai evan shoodroan ke karm vaishyoan aur kshatriyoan ki apeksha bhi nimn shreni ke haian. isake siva un karmoan ke palan mean kisi aang ka chhoot jana bhi gun ki kami haian. uparyukt prakar se svadharm mean gunoan ki rahane par bhi vah gunayukt paradharm apeksha shresht haian.
  24. doosare ka dharm palan karane se usamean hiansadi dosh kam hone par bhi paravrittichchhedan adi pap lagate hai; kiantu apane svabhavik karmoan ka nyayapoorvak acharan karate samay unamean jo anushangik hiansadi pap ban jate hai, ve usako nahian lagate.
  25. jo svabhavik karm shreshth gunoan se yukt ho, unaka tyag n karana chahiye- isamean to kahana hi kya hai; par jinamean sadharanatah hiansadi doshoan ka mishran dikhata ho, ve bhi shastravihit evan nyayochit hone ke karan doshayukt dikhane par bhi vastav mean doshayukt nahian haian. isaliye un karmoan ka bhi tyag nahian karana chahiye.
  26. jis prakar dhooean se agni otaprot rahati hai, dhooaan agni se sarvatha alag nahian ho sakata- usi prakar arambh matr dosh se otaprot hai, kriyamatr mean kisi-n-kisi prakar se kisi-n-kisi aansh mean praniyoan ki hiansa ho jati hai.; kh‍yoanki sannyas, ashram mean bhi shauch, snan aur bhikshatanadi karm dvara kisi-n-kisi aansh mean praniyoan ki hiansa hoti hai aur brahman ke yajnadi karmoan mean bhi arambh ki bahulata hone se kshudr praniyoan ki hiansa hoti hai. isaliye kisi bhi varn-ashram mean karm sadharan drishti se sarvatha dosharahit nahian hai. aur karm kiye bina koee rah nahian sakata (gita 3:5) is karan svadharm ka tyag kar dene par bhi kuchh-n-kuchh karm to manushy ko karana hi p dega tatha vah to kuchh karega, vahi doshayukt hoga. isaliye amuk karm nicha hai ya doshayukt hai- aisa samajhakar manushy ko svadharm ka tyag nahian karana chahiye; balki usamean mamata, asakti aur phalechchharoop doshoan ka tyag karake unaka nyayayukt acharan karana chahiye. aisa karane se manushy ka antahkaran shuddh hokar use shighr hi paramatma ki prapti ho jati hai.
