isaka shpashhtikaran nahian kiya gaya; atev shhlok mean bhagavan nithy aur anithy vashtu ke vivechan ki riti batalane ke liye donoan ke lakshan batalate haian– asath vashtu ki to satta nahian hai aur sath ka abhav nahian hai. is prakar in donoan ka hi tattv tattvajnani purushoan dvara dekha gaya hai[2] nasharahit to too usako jan, jisase yah samhpoorn jagat– ddashhyavarg vhyapht hai. is avinashi ka vinash karane mean koee bhi samarth nahian hai. is nasharahit, apramey, nithyashvaroop jivathma ke ye sab sharir[3] nashavan kahe gaye haian. isaliye he bharatavanshi arjun! tu yuddh kar. [samhbanhdh- arjun ne jo yah bat kahi thi ki maian inako marana nahian chahata aur yadi ve mujhe mar dalean to vah mere liye kshematar hoga usaka samadhan karane ke liye agale shhlokoan mean athma ko marane ya marane vala manana ajnan hai, yah kahate haian– jo is athma ko marane vala samajhata hai tatha jo isako mara manata hai, ve donoan hi nahian janate; khyoanki yah athma vashtav mean n to kisi ko marata hai aur n kisi ke dvara mara jata hai. yah athma kisi kal mean bhi n to janhmata hai aur n marata hi hai tatha n yah uthpanhn hokar phir hone vala hi hai; khyoanki yah ajanhma, nithy, sanatan aur puratan hai, sharir ke mare jane par bhi yah nahian mara jata.[4][5]
he prithaputr arjun! jo purush is athma ko nasharahit, nithy, ajanhma aur avhyay janata hai, vah purush kaise kisako maravata hai aur kaise kisako marata hai[6] samhbanhdh- yahaan yah shanka hoti hai ki athma ka jo ek sharir se samhbanhdh chhootakar doosare sharir se samhbanhdh hota hai, usamean use athyanht kashht hota hai; atah usake liye shok karana kaise anuchit hai?
is par kahatean haian– jaise manushhy purane vashtroan ko thyagakar doosare nayean vashtroan ko grahan karata hai, vaise hi jivathma purane shariroan ko thyagakar doosare naye shariroan ko prapht hota hai[7]. [samhbanhdh- athma ka shvaroop durvijney hone ke karan punah tin shhlokoan dvara prakaranhtar se usaki nithyata, nirakarata aur nirvikarata– ka pratipadan karate hue usake vinash ki ashanka se shok karana anuchit siddh karate haian– is athma ko shastr nahian kat sakate, isako ag nahian jala sakati, isako jal nahian gala sakata aur vayu nahian sukha sakati.
khyoanki yah athma achhchhedy hai; yah athma adahy, alkedy aur niahsandeh ashoshhy hai tatha yah athma nithy, sarvavhyapi, achal, sthir rahane vala aur sanatan hai yah athma avhyakt hai, vah athma achinhtay hai aur vah athma vikar rahit kaha jata hai. isase se arjun! is athma ko uparyukt prakar se janakar too shok karane ko yoghy nahian hai arthat tujhe shok karana uchit nahian hai. samhbanhdh– uparyukt shhlokoan mean bhagavan ne athma ko ajanhma aur avinashi batalakar usake liye shok karana anuchit siddh kiya; ab do shhlokoan dvara athma ko aupacharik roop se janhmane–marane vala manane par bhi usake liye shok karana anuchit hai, aisa siddh karate hai– kinhtu yadi too is athma ko sada janhmane vala tatha sada marane vala manata ho, to bhi he mahabaho! too is prakar shok karane ko yoghy nahian hai. khyoanki is manhyata ke anusar janhme hue ki mrithyu nishchit hai.[8] isase bhi is bina upay vale vishay mean too shok karane ko yoghy nahian hai.
samhbanhdh– ab agale shhlok mean yah siddh karate haian ki praniyoan ke shariroan ko uddeshhy karake bhi shok karana nahian banata– he arjun! samhpoorn prani janhm se pahale aprakat the aur marane ke bad bhi aprakat ho jane vale haian, keval bich mean hi prakat haian; phir aisi sthiti mean khya shok karana hai? samhbanhdh- athmatattv athyanht durbodh hone ke karan use samajhane ke liye bhagavan ne upuryakt shhloankoan dvara bhinhn–bhinhn prakar se usake shvaroop ka varnan kiya; ab agale shhlok mean us athmatatthv ke darshan, varnan aur shravan ki alaukikata aur durlabhata ka niroopan karate haian– koee ek mahapurush hi is athma ko ashhchary ki bhaanti dekhata hai[9] aur vaise hi doosara koee mahapurush hi isake tatthv ka ashhchary ki bhaanti varnan karata hai[10] tatha doosara koee adhikari purush hi ise ashhchary ki bhaanti sunata hai aur koee-koee to sunakar bhi isako nahian janata hai[11]. he arjun! yah athma sabake sharir mean sada hi avadhhy hai. is karan samhpoorn praniyoan ke liye too shok karane ke yoghy nahian hai.[12]
