‘saumyatvamh’- hriday mean hiansa, kroorata, kutilata, asahishnuta, dvesh adi bhavoan ke n rahane se evan bhagavan ke gun, prabhav, dayaluta, sarvavyapakata adi par atal vishvas hone se sadhak ke man mean svabhavik hi ‘saumyabhav’ rahata hai. phir usako koee tedha vachan kah de, usaka tiraskar kar de, us par bina karan dosharopan kare, usake sath koee vair-dvaish rakhe athava usake dhan, man, mahima adi ki hani ho jae to bhi usake saumyabhav mean kuchh bhi phark nahian p data. ‘maunamh’- anukoolata-pratikoolata, sanyog-viyog, rag-dvesh, sukh-duahkh adi dvandvoan ko lekar man mean halachal ka n hona hi vastav mean ‘maun’ hai.[1] shastroan, puranoan aur sant-mahapurushoan ki vaniyoan ka tatha unake gahare bhavoan ka manan hota rahe; gita, ramayan, bhagavat adi bhagavatsanbandhi granthoan mean kahe hue bhagavan ke gunoan ka, charitroan ka sada manan hota rahe; sansar ke prani kis prakar sukhi ho sakate haian? sabaka kalyan kin-kin upayoan se ho sakata hai? kin-kin saral yuktiyoan se ho sakata hai? un-un upayoan ka aur yuktiyoan ka man mean haradam manan hota hai rahe- ye sabhi ‘maun’ shabd se kahe ja sakate haian. ‘atmavinigrahah’- man bilakul ekagr ho jae aur tailadharavat ek hi chintan karata rahe- isako bhi man ka nigrah kahate haian; parantu man ka sachcha nigrah yahi hai ki man sadhak ke vash mean rahe arthat man ko jahaan se hatana chahean, vahaan se hat jae aur jahaan jitani der lagana chahean, vahaan utani der laga rahe. tatpary yah ki sadhak man ke vashibhoot hokar kam nahian kare, pratyut man hi usake vashibhoot hokar kam karata rahe. is prakar man ka vashibhoot hona hi vastav mean ‘atmavinigrah’ hai. ‘bhavasanshuddhiah’- jis bhav mean apane svarth aur abhiman ka tyag ho aur doosaroan ki hitakarita ho, use ‘bhavasanshuddhi’ arthat bhav ki mahan pavitrata kahate haian. jisake bhitar ek bhagavan ka hi asara, bharosa hai, ek bhagavan ka hi chintan hai aur ek bhagavan ki taraph chalane ka hi nishchay hai, usake bhitar ke bhav bahut jaldi shuddh ho jate haian. phir usake bhitar utpatti-vinashashil saansarik vastuoan ka sahara nahian rahata; kyoanki sansar ka sahara rakhane se hi bhav ashuddh hote haian. ‘ityetattapo manasamuchyate’- is prakar jis tap mean man ki mukhyata hoti hai, vah manas (man-sanbandhi) tap kahalata hai. sanbandh- ab bhagavan age ke tin shlokoan mean kramashah sattvik, rajas aur tamas ka varnan karate haian. |

- ↑ yahaan ‘maunamh’ pad vani ke maun (chup rahane) ka vachak nahian hai. yadi yah vani ke maun ka vachak hai, to ise vani sanbandhi tap mean dete. parantu yahaan ‘maun’ shabd manasik tap ke aantargat aya hai. gita mean prayah yah dekha jata hai ki jahaan arjun ka kriyaparak prashn hai, vahaan bhavaparak uttar dete haian. jaise doosare adhyay ke chauvanavean shlok mean arjun ne poochha ki ‘sthitadhiah kian prabhashet’ sthitaprajn purush kaise bolata hai? to bhagavan ne usaka uttar diya- ‘dukheshvanudvignamanaah........sthitadhirmuniruchyate ..’ arthat anukoolata-pratikoolata ko lekar jisake man mean harsh-shok nahian hote, vah sthitaprajn muni (mauni) hai. tatpary yah ki bhagavan kriya ki apeksha bhav ko shreshth manate haian. isalie bhagavan ne yahaan bhi ‘maun’ ko manasik tap mean liya hai.
