arth- shri bhagavan bole- tumane shok n karane yogy ka shok kiya hai aur panditaee ki batean kah rahe ho; parantu jinake pran chale gaye haian, unake lie aur jinake pran nahian gaye haian, unake liye pandit log shok nahian karate.
vyakhya- [manushy ko shok tab hota hai, jab vah sansar ke prani-padarthoan mean do vibhag kar leta hai ki ye mere haian aur ye mere nahian hai; ye mere niji kutumbi haian aur ye mere niji kutumbi nahian haian; ye hamare varn ke haian aur ye hamare varn ke nahian haian; ye hamare ashram ke haian aur ye hamare ashram ke nahian hai; ye hamare paksh ke haian aur ye hamare paksh ke nahian hai. jo hamare hote haian, unamean mamata, kamana, priyata, asakti ho jati hai. in mamata, kamana adi se hi shok, chianta, bhay, udveg, halachal, santap adi dosh paida hote haian. aisa koee bhi dosh, anarth nahian hai, jo mamata, kamana adi se paida n hota ho- yah siddhaant hai.
gita mean sabase pahale dhritarashtr ne kaha ki mere aur paandu ke putroan ne yuddhabhoomi mean kya kiya? yadyapi paandav dhritarashtr ko apane pita se bhi adhik adar drishti se dekhate the, tathapi dhritarashtr ke man mean apane putroan ke prati mamata thi. atah unaka apane putroan mean aur paandavoan mean bhedabhavapoorvak pakshapat tha ki ye mere haian aur ye mere nahian hai.
jo mamata dhritarashtr mean thi, vah mamata arjun mean bhi paida huee. parantu arjun ki vah mamata dhritarashtr ki mamata ke saman nahian thi. arjun mean dhritarashtr ki tarah pakshapat nahian tha; atah ve sabhi ko svajan kahate haian- ‘drishthveman svajanamh’[1], aur duryodhan adi ko bhi svajan kahate haian- ‘svajanan hi kathan hatva sukhinah syam madhav’.[2] tatpary hai ki arjun ki sanpoorn kuruvanshiyoan mean mamata thi aur us mamata ke karan hi unake marane ki ashanka se arjun ko shok ho raha tha. is shok ko mitane ke lie bhagavan ne arjun ko gita ka upadesh diya hai, jo is gyarahavean shlok se aranbh hota hai. isake aant mean bhagavan isi shok ko anuchit batate hue kaheange ki too keval mera hi ashray le aur shok mat kar- ‘ma shuchah’.[3] karan ki sansar ka ashray lene se hi shok hota hai ki aur ananyabhav se mera ashray lene se tere shok, chianta adi sab mit jaeyange.]
‘ashochyananvashochastvamh’- sansar matr mean do chijean haian- sath aur asath, shariri aur sharir. in donoan mean shariri to avinashi hai aur sharir vinashi hai. ye donoan hi ashochy haian. avinashi ka kabhi vinash nahian hota, isalie usake lie shok karana banata hi nahian aur vinashi ka vinash hi hota hai, vah ek kshan bhi sthayi roop se nahian rahata, isaliye usake liye bhi shok karana nahian banata. tatpary hua ki shok karana n to shariri ko lekar ban sakata hai aur n shariroan ko lekar hi ban sakata hai. shok ke hone mean to keval avivek[4] hi karan hai.
