bhagavan ne bali ki prashansa ki. unake kul ki shoorata, danashilata ki prashansa ki aur tab tin pag bhoomi maangi. bali ko hansi a gayi. unhhoanne adhik bhoomi maang lene ko bhagavan se agrah kiya. bhagavan ne kaha- "rajan! trishhna ki tripti to kabhi hoti nahian. manushhy ko apane prayojan se adhik ki ichhchha nahian karani chahie anhyatha use kabhi shanti nahian milegi. jisaki bhoomi mean koee tap, jap adi kiya jata hai, us bhooshvami ko bhi usaka bhag milata hai, at: maian tin pag bhoomi apane liye chahata hooan. mujhe isase adhik nahian chahie."

bhoomidan
achary ke shap se bhi bali dare nahian. unhhoanne sthir chitt se shraddhapoorvak vaman bhagavan ko bhoomi ka dan kiya. bhoomi-dan ka sankalhp ho jane par vaman bhagavan ne apana roop badhaya. ve virat roop ho gaye. unhhoanne ek pad mean samasht prithhvi nap li aur unaka doosara charan brahmalok tak pahuanch gaya. akraman ke liye udyat daithyoan ko bhagavan ke parshadoan ne marakar bhaga diya. ve sab patal chale gaye. bhagavan ki ajna se garu d ji ne bali ko varun pash mean baandh liya. ab bhagavan ne kaha- "bali! tumhhean apani samhpatti ka b da garv tha. mujhe tin pag bhoomi di thi, kiantu tumhhara samasht rajhy do pag mean tumhhare samane maianne nap liya. ab meri ek pad bhoomi aur do." dharmathma sathyavadi, brahman-bhakht bali rajhy chhin jane aur banhdhan mean hone par bhi sthir the. unhhean tanik bhi du:kh ya kshobh nahian hua tha. unhhoanne namrata se kaha- "bhagavan! samhpatti ka shvami us samhpatti se b da hota hai. apane do pad mean mera rajhy le liya, ab ek pad mean mera sharir le lean. tisara pad mere mashtak par rakhean. bali dhanhy ho gaye.
bhagavan ne tisara pag bali ke mashtak par rakh diya. bhagavan brahma yah sab dekhakar shvayan aye. yadi dharmathma purush banhdhan mean p de to dharm ke adhar par sthit vishhv kaise rahega. brahma ji ne bhagavan se prarthana ki- "prabho! apake charanoan mean jo shraddhapoorvak ek chulhloo jal aur doorva ke kuchh aankur chadhata hai, vah sabhi samhpoorn banhdhanoan se sada ke liye chhoot jata hai, phir jisane sthir chitt se shraddhapoorvak apako triloki ka rajhy dan kar diya, vah banhdhan mean kaise rah sakata hai."

bhagavan ne brahma ji ki or dekha aur phir shneh se bali ki or dekhate hue bole- "brahma ji! dharm ka phal hi hai mujhe santushht karana. maian prahlad ke is dharmathma pautr ki pariksha le raha tha. ap janate hai ki jo apane apako mujhe de deta hai, maian bhi apane ko use de deta hooan. is bali ne mujhe jit liya hai. putr bali! utho! ab tum apane pitamah prahlad ke sath sutal mean jao. us sutal ka rajhy karo, jisake vaibhav ki tulana mean shvarg kisi ganana mean nahian hai. maian shvayan ab barabar gada liye vahaan sada, sarvada tumhhare dvar par upasthit rahooanga. jo bhi daithy, danav tumhhari ajna nahian maneange, unhhean mera chakr danhd dega. tumhhean nithy mere darshan hoange. putr! tumhhean indr hi to hona tha. maian shvayan tumhhean agale savarni manhvanhtar mean inhdr pad par baithaooanga." bali ke netroan se ashru ka pravah chalane laga. ve bolane mean asamarth ho gaye. ye karunamay prabhu itani tuchhchh seva se dravit ho gaye. ve samhpoorn bhuvanoan ke shvami ab daithyoan ke dvar par dvararakshak baneange. bali ne bhagavan ke charanoan par mashtak rakh diya. bhagavan ki ajna se shukrachary ne vah yajn poorn karaya. bali ab sutal mean bhagavan vaman ke dvara surakshit virajate haian.
