manusmriti[1] mean bhi yah varnan kiya gaya hai, ki marane par manushy ko is janm mean kiye hue, pap-puny ka phal bhogane ke liye, panchatanmatratmak sookshm sharir prapt hota hai. gita ke ‘‘vayurgandhanivashayath” is drishtaant se keval itana hi siddh hota hai ki, yah sharir sookshm hai; parantu usase yah nahian maloom hota ki usaka akar kitana b da hai. mahabharat ke savitri-upakhyan mean yah varnan paya jata hai ki, satyavanh ke ( sthool ) sharir mean se aangoothe ke barabar ek purush ko yamaraj ne bahar nikala-‘‘aangushthamatran purushan nishchakarsh yama balath” [2]; isase pratit hota hai ki, drishtaant ke liye hi kyoan n ho, liang-sharir aangoothe ke akar ka mana jata tha.is bat ka vivechan ho chuka ki, yadyapi liang-sharir hamare netroan ko gochar nahian hai tathapi usaka astitv kin anumanoan se siddh ho sakata hai, aur us sharir ke ghatakavayav kaun-kaun se haian. parantu, keval yah kah dena hi yathesht pratit nahian hota ki, prakriti aur paanch sthool mahabhootoan ke atirikt atharah tattvoan ke samuchy se liang-sharir nirman hota hai.

isamean koee sandesh nahian ki, jahaan-jahaan liang-sharir rahega vahaan-vahaan in atharah tattvoan ka samuchy, apane-apane gun-dharm ke anusar, mata-pita ke sthool sharir mean se tatha age sthool-srishti ke ann se, hast-pad adi sthool avayav ya sthool indriyaan utpann karega, athava unaka poshan karega. parantu ab yah batalana chahiye ki, atharah tattvoan ke samuchy se bana hua liang-sharir pashu, pakshi, manushy adi bhinn-bhinn deh kyoan utpann karata hai. sajiv srishti ke sachetan tattv ko saankhy-vadi ‘purush’ kahate haian; aur, saankhh‍y-matanusar ye purush chahe asankhh‍y bhi hoan tathapi prath‍yek purush svabhavatah udasin tatha akarta hai, isaliye pashu-pakshi adi praniyoan ke bhinn-bhinn sharir utpann karane ka kartavy purush ke hisse mean nahian a sakata. vedanh‍t-shastr mean kaha hai ki, pap-puny adi karmoan ke parinam se ye bhed utpann hua karate haian. is karm-vipak ka vivechan age chal kar kiya jayega. saankhyashastr ke anusar karm ko, purush aur prakriti se bhinn, tisara tattv nahian mar sakate; aur jabaki purush udasin hi hai tab yah kahana p data hai ki karm, prakriti ke sattv-raj-tamogunoan ka hi, vikar hai.

liang-sharir mean jin atharah tattvoan ka samuchy hai unamean se buddhitattv pradhan hai. isaka karan yah hai ki, buddhi hi se age ahankar adi satrah tattv utpann hote haian. arthath, jise vedant mean karm kahate haian usi ko saankhyashastr mean, sattv-raj-tam-gunoan ke nyoonadhik pariman se utpann hone vala, buddhi ka vyapar, dharm ya vikar kahatean haian. buddhi ke is dharm ka nam ‘bhav’ hai. sattv-raj-tam-gunoan ke taratamy se ye ‘bhav’ kee prakar ke ho jate haian. jis prakar phool mean sugandh tatha kap de mean rang lipata rahata hai, usi prakar liang-sharir mean ye bhav bhi lipate rahate haian [3]. in bhavoan ke anusar, athava vedant-paribhasha se karm ke anusar, liang-sharir naye-naye janm liya karata hai; aur janm lete samay, mata-pitaoan ke shariroan mean se jin dravyoan ko vah akarshit kiya karata hai, un dravyoan mean bhi doosare bhav a jaya karate haian. ‘devayoni, manushyayoni, pashuyoni tatha vrikshayoni’ ye sab bhed in bhavoan ki samuchyata ke hi parinam haian[4].
