‘deshabandhashchittasy dharana.’[1] chitt ko kisi ek desh-vishesh mean sthir karane ka nam dharana hai. arthath sthool-sookshm ya bahy-abhyantar-kisi ek dhyey sthan mean chitt ko baandh dena, sthir kar dena ya laga dena dharan kahalata hai. yahaan vishay parameshvar ka hai; isaliye dharana, dhyan aur samadhi parameshvar mean hi karane chahiye. ‘tatr pratyayaikatanata dhyanamh’[2] us poorvokt dhyey vastu mean chittavritti ki ekatanata ka nam dhyan hai. arthath chittavritti ka ganga ke pravah ki bhaanti ya tailadharavath avichchhinnaroop se dhyey vastu mean hi laga rahana dhyan kahalata hai. ‘tadevarthamatranirbhasan svaroopashoonyamiv samadhiah.’[3] jis samay keval dhyey svaroop ka hi bhan hota hai aur apane svaroop ke bhan ka abhav-sa rahata hai, us samay vah dhyan hi samadhi ho jata hai. dhyan karate-karate jab yogi ka chitt dhyeyakar ko prapt ho jata hai aur vah svayan bhi dhyey mean tanmay-sa ban jata hai, dhyey se bhinn apane-ap ka bhi jnan use nahian-sa rah jata hai- us sthiti ka nam samadhi hai. dhyan mean dhyata, dhyan, dhyey yah triputi rahati hai. samadhi mean keval arthamatr vastu–dhyey vastu hi rahati hai arthath dhyat, dhyan, dhyey tinoan ki ekata ho jati hai. prashn- sattaeesavean shlok mean batalaye hue atm-sanyam yogaroop yajn mean aur isamean kya antar hai? uttar- vahaan dharana-dhyan samadhiroop antarang sadhan ki pradhanata hai; yam, niyam, asan, pranayam, pratyahar ki nahian. ye sab apane-ap hi unamean a jate haian aur yahaan sabhi sadhanoan ko kram se karane ke liye kaha gaya hai. |
