sambandh- barahavean adhyay ke arambh mean arjun ne sagun aur nirgun ke upasakoan ki shreshthata ke vishay mean prashn kiya tha, isaka uttar dete hue bhagavanh ne doosare shlok mean sankshep mean sagun upasakoan ki shreshthata ka pratipadan karake tisare se paanchavean shlok tak nirgun upasana ka svaroop, usaka phal aur dehabhimaniyoan ke liye usake anushthan mean kathinata ka niroopan kiya. tadanantar chhathe se bisavean shlok tak sagun upasana ka mahattv, phal, prakar aur bhagavadbhaktoan ke lakshanoan ka varnan karate-karate hi adhyay ki samapti ki gayi; nirgun ka tattv, mahima aur usaki prapti ke sadhanoan ko vistarapoorvak nahian samajhaya gaya. atev nirgun-nirakar ka tattv arthath jnanayog ka vishay bhalibhaanti samajhane ke liye terahavean adhyay ka arambh kiya jata hai. isamean pahale bhagavanh kshetr (sharir) tatha kshetrajn (atma) ke lakshan batalate haian-

prashn- ‘shariramh’ ke sath ‘idamh’ pad ke prayog ka kya abhipray hai aur sharir ko kshetr kyoan kahate haian?
uttar- ‘shariramh’ ke sath ‘idamh’ pad ka prayog karake yah bhav dikhalaya hai ki yah atma ke dvara dekha aur jana jata hai, isaliye yah drishy hai aur drashtaroop atma se sarvatha bhinn hai. tatha jaise khet mean boye hue bijoan ka unake anuroop phal samay par prakat hota hai, vaise hi is sharir mean boye hue karm-sanskar roop bijoan ka phal bhi samay par prakat hota rahata hai. isaliye ise ‘kshetr’ kahate haian. isake atirikt isaka pratikshan kshay hota rahata hai, isaliye bhi ise kshetr kahate haian aur isiliye pandrahavean adhyay mean isako ‘kshar’ purush kaha gaya hai. is kshetr ka svaroop is adhyay ke paanchavean shlok mean sankshep mean batalaya gaya hai.
