"grihash‍thashram mean putr uth‍panh‍n kar, unh‍hean koee rrin n chho d aur unaki jivika ke liye kuchh tho da sa prabanh‍dh kar, tatha sab l dakiyoan ko yogh‍y sh‍thanoan mean de chukane par, vanaprash‍th ho sannh‍yas lene ki ichh‍chha kare-"[3].

aj kal hamare yahaan sadharan logoan ki sansar samh‍badhi samajh bhi pray: vidur ke kathananusar hi hai. to bhi kabhi n kabhi sansar ko chho d dena hi manushh‍y matr ka param sadhh‍y manane ke karan, sansar ke vh‍yavaharoan ki siddhi ke liye samritipranetaoan ne jo pahale tin ashramoan ki shreyash‍kar maryada niyat kar di thi, vah dhire dhire chhootane lagi; aur yahaan tak sthit a pahuanchi ki yadi kisi ko paida hote hi athava alh‍p avash‍tha mean hi jnan ki prapti ho jave, to use in tin sidhi़yoan par ch dane ki avashayakata nahian hai, vah ekadam sannh‍yas le le to koee hani nahian-‘brahmacharyadev pravrajedgagrihadva vanadva’[4]! isi abhipray se mahabharat ke gokapiliy-sanvad mean kapil ne sh‍yoomarashmi se kaha hai-

sharirapakti: karmani jnanan tu parama gati :.
kashaye karmabhi: pake rasajnane ch tishh‍thati..

‘’sare karm sharir ke ( vishayasakth‍iaroop ) rog nikal phekane ke liye haian, jnan hi sab mean uth‍tam hai aur anh‍t ki gati hai; jab karm se sharir ka kashay athava ajnan roopi rog nashh‍t ho jata hai tab ras–jnan ki chah upajati hai’’[6].
