isaliye yadi gita ke anusar kisi bhaktiman purush ki nishh‍tha ke vishay mean nishh‍yachay karana ho, to yah nirnay keval isi bat se nahian kiya ja sakata ki vah bhakti bhav mean laga hua hai; parantu is bat ka vichar kiya jana chahiye‍ ki vah karm karata hai ya nahian. bhakti parameshh‍var–prapti ka ek sugam sadhan hai; aur sadhan ke nate se yadi bhakti hi ko ‘yog‘ kahean[1], to bhi vah antim ‘nishh‍tha‘ nahian ho sakati. bhakti ke dvara parameshh‍var ka jnan ho jane par jo manushh‍y karm karega use ‘karm-nishh‍th‘ aur jo n karega use ‘saankhh‍yanishh‍th’ kahana chahiye. paanchave adhh‍yay mean bhagavan ne apana yah abhipray sh‍pashh‍t batala diya hai, ki ukh‍t donoan nishh‍thaoan mean karm karane ki nishh‍tha adhik shreyash‍kar hai. paranh‍tu karm par sannh‍yas margavaloan ka yah mahath‍vapoorn akshep hai, ki parameshh‍var ka jnan hone mean karm se pratibandh hota hai: aur parameshh‍var ke jnan bina to moksh ki prapti hi nahian ho sakati; isaliye karmoan ka th‍yag hi karana chahiye. paanchave adhh‍yay mean samanh‍yat: yah batalaya gaya hai, ki uparyakh‍t akshep asath‍y haian aur sanh‍yas marg se jo moksh milata hai, vahi karmayog-marg se bhi milata hai[2]. paranh‍tu vahaan is samanh‍y siddhanh‍t ka kuchh bhi khulasa nahian kiya gaya tha.
isaliye ab bhagavanh is bache hue tatha mahath‍vapoorn vishay ka vish‍trit niroopan kar rahe haian, ki karm karate rahane hi se parameshh‍var ke jnan ki prapti hokar moksh kis prakar milata hai. isi hetu se satavean adhh‍yay ke aramh‍bh mean arjun se yah n kahakar, ki maian tujhe bhakti namak ek sh‍vatantr tisari nishh‍tha batalata hooan, bhagavanh yah kahate haian ki–

mayyasakh‍tamana: parth yogan yuanjanh madashray:.
asanshayan samagran maan yatha jnash‍yasi tachh‍chhrinu..

‘’he parth! mujhamean chitt ko sthir karake aur mera ashray lekar yog yani yog karm-yoga ka acharan karate samay, ‘yatha arthath jis riti se mujhe sanh‍deh-rahit poornataya jan sakega, vah ( riti tujhe batalata hooan ) sun‘’[3]; aur isi ko age ke shh‍lok mean ‘jnan-vijnan‘ kaha hai[4]. inamean se pahale arthath oopar diye gaye ‘’mayyasakh‍tamana:‘’shh‍lok mean ‘yog yuanjanh‘-arthath karmayog ka acharan karate hue’-ye pad ath‍yanh‍t mahath‍v poorn haian. paranh‍tu kisi bhi tikakar ne inaki or vishesh dhh‍yan nahi diya hai. ‘yogan‘ arthath vahi karmayog hai ki jisaka varnan pahale chh: adhh‍yayoan mean kiya ja chuka hai; aur ham is karmayog ka acharan karate hue jis prakar, vidhi ya riti se bhagavanh ka poora jnan ho jayaga.
