in karmoan ko karate samay phalasha bhi chho d di jati hai jisake karan sh‍varg ka ana-jana bhi chhoot jata hai aur in karmoan ko karane par bhi anh‍t mean moksharoopi sadh‌gati mil jati hai[1]. saraansh yah hai ki sansar yajnamay ya karmamay hai sahi; paranh‍tu karm karane valoan ke do varg hote haian. pahale ve jo shash‍trokh‍t riti se, par phalasha chho dakar, karm kiya karate haian (karmakaandi log); aur doosare ve jo nishh‍kam buddhi se keval kartavh‍y samajhakar karm kiya karate haian (jnani log). inake sanbandh mean gita ka yah siddhaant hai ki karmakaandiyoan ko sh‍varg-praph‍tiroop anith‍y phal milata hai aur jnan se arthat nishh‍kamabuddhi se karm karane vale jnani purushoan ko moksharoopi nith‍y phal milata hai. moksh ke liye karmoan ka chho dana gita mean kahi bhi nahian batalaya gaya hai. isake viparit atharahavean adhh‍yay ke aranbh me sh‍pashh‍tataya batala diya hai ki “th‍yag–chho dana” shabh‍d se gita mean karmath‍yag kabhi bhi nahian samajhana chahiye, kinh‍tu usaka arth, phalath‍yagahi sarvatr vivakshit hai. is prakar karmakaandiyoan aur karmayogiyoan ko bhinh‍n bhinh‍n lokoan mean bhinh‍n phal milate haian jisake karan prath‍yek ko mrith‍yu ke bad bhinh‍n bhinh‍n lokoan mean bhinh‍n bhinh‍n margoan se jana p data hai. inh‍hian margoan ko kram se ‘devayan’ kahate haian[2]; aur upanishadoan ke adhar se gita ke athavean adhh‍yay mean inh‍hian margoan ka varnan kiya gaya hai.

vah manushh‍y, jisako jnan ho gaya hai– aur kam se kam anh‍takal mean jnan avashh‍y hi ho gaya ho[3]– dehapat hone ke ananh‍tar aur chita mean sharir jal jane par, us agni se jh‍yoti (jh‍vala), divas, shukrapaksh aur uttarayan ke chh: mahine, mean prayan karata hua brahmapad ko ja pahuanchata hai tatha vahaan use moksh praph‍t hota hai jisake karan vah pun: janh‍m le kar mrith‍yulok mean phir nahian lautata; paranh‍tu jo keval karmakaandi hai arthat jise jnan nahian hai, vah usi agni se dhuana, ratri, krishh‍napaksh aur dakshinayan ke chh: mahine, is kram se prayan karata hua chanh‍dralok ko pahuanchata hai aur apane kiye hue sab punh‍yakarmoan ko bhog karake phir is lok mean janh‍m leta hai; in donoan margoan mean yahi bhed hai[4]. ‘jh‍yoti’ (jh‍vala) shabh‍d ke badale upanishadoan mean ‘archi’ (jh‍vala) shabh‍d ka prayog kiya gaya hai jisase pahale marg ko ‘archiradi’ aur doosare ko ‘dhoomradi’ marg bhi kahate haian. hamara utarayan utar dhruvash‍thal mean rahane vale devataoan ka din hai aur hamara dakshinayan unaki ratri hai. is paribhasha par dhh‍yan dene se maloom ho jata hai ki in donoan margoan mean se pahala archiradi (jh‍yotiradi) marg aramh‍bh se anh‍t tak prakashamay hai aur doosara dhoomradi marg anh‍dhakaramay hai.
