isaliye maya ki vyakhya dete samay karm ko n le kar nam aur roop ko hi kabhi kabhi maya kahate haian. tathapi karm ka jab svatantr vichar karana p data hai, tab yah kahane ka samay ata hai ki karm-svaroop aur maya-svaroop ek hi hai. isaliye arambh hi mean yah kah dena adhik subhite ki bat hogi ki maya, nam-roop aur karm, ye tinoan mool mean ek svaroop hi haian. haan, usamean bhi yah vishishtarthak sookshmabhed kiya ja sakata hai ki maya ek samany shabd hai usi ke dikhave ko nam-roop tatha vyapar ko karm kahate haian. par sadharanataya yah bhed dikhalane ki avashyakata nahian hoti. isiliye tinoan shabdoan ka bahudha saman arth mean hi prayog kiya jata hai. par-brahm ke ek bhag par vinashi maya ka yah jo achchhadan ( athava upadhi= oopar ka udhauna ) hamari aankhoan ko dikhata hai, usi ko saankhyashastr mean “trigunatmak prakriti” kaha gaya hai. saankhyavadi purush aur prakriti donoan tattvoan ko svayanbhoo, svatantr aur anadi manate haian. parantu maya, nam-roop athava karm, kshan-kshan mean badalate rahate haian; isaliye unako, nity aur avikari parabrahm ki yogyata ka, arthat svayanbhoo aur svatantr manana nyay-drishti se anuchit hai. kyoanki nity aur anity ye donoan kalpanaean paraspar viruddh haian aur isaliye donoan ka astitv ek hi kal mean mana nahian ja sakata.

isaliye vedaantiyoan ne yah nishchit kiya hai ki vinashi prakriti athava karmatmak maya svatantr nahian hai; kiantu ek nity, sarvavyapi aur nirgun parabrahm mean hi, manushy ki durbal indriyoan ko sagun maya ka dikhava dekh p data hai. parantu keval itana hi kah dene se kam nahian chal jata ki maya paratantr hai aur nirgun parabrahm mean hi yah drishy dikhaee deta hai. gun-parinam se n sahi, to bhi vivartavad se nirgun aur nity brahm mean vinashi sagun nam-roopoan ka, arthat maya ka drishy dikhana chahe sambhav ho; tathapi yahaan ek aur prashn upasthit hota hai, ki manushy ki indriyoan ko dikhane vala yah sagun drishy nirgun parabrahm mean pahale pahal kis kram se, kab aur kyoan dikhane laga? athava yahi arth vyavaharik bhasha mean is prakar kaha ja sakata hai, ki nity aur chidroopi parameshvar ne nam-roopatmak, vinashi aur j d srishti kab aur kyoan utpann ki? parantu rrigved ke nasadip sookt mean jaisa ki varnan kiya gaya hai, yah vishay manushy ke liye nahian; kiantu devataoan ke liye aur vedoan ke liye bhi agamy hai[1], isaliye ukt prashn ka isase adhik aur kuchh uttar nahian diya ja sakata ki “jnan-drishti se nishchit kiye hue nirgun parabrahm ki hi yah ek atarky lila hai”[2].
