hekal ke j d advait mean aur adhyatmashastr ke advait mean yah atyant mahattv poorn bhed hai. advait vedant ka yahi siddhant gita mean hai, aur ek purane kavi ne samagr advait vedant ke sar ka varnan yoan kiya hai-

shh‍lokordhen pravakshyami yadukh‍tan granh‍thakotibhiah.
brahm sath‍yan jaganmithh‍ya jivo brahmaiv naparah..

“karodoan granthoan ka sar adhe shh‍lok mean batalata hooan-

  1. braham saty hai,
  2. jagat arthat jagat ke sabhi nam-roop mithya athava nashavan haian, aur
  3. manushy ka atma evan braham mool mean ek hi hai, do nahian.’’

is shh‍lok ka ‘mithya’ shabd yadi kisi ke kanoan mean chubhata ho, to vah brihadaranyak upanishad ke anusar isake tisare charan ka ‘brahmamritan jagatsatyamh’ pathantar khushi se kar le; parantu pahale hi batala chuke haian ki isase bhavarth nahian badalata hai. phir bhi kuchh vedanti is bat ko lekar phijool jhag date rahate haian ki samooche drishy jagath ke adrishy kintu nity parabrahmaroopi moolatattv ko sath (saty) kahean ya asat (asaty-amrit). atev isaka yahaan tho da sa khulasa kiye dete haian ki is bat ka thik thik bij kya hai. is ek hi sat ya saty shabd ke do bhinn bhinn arth hote haian, isi karan yah jhag da macha hua haian; aur yadi dhyan se dekha jave ki pratyek purush is ‘sath’ shabd ka kis arth mean upayog karata hai, to kuchh bhi g dab d nahian rah jati. kyoanki yah bhed to sabhi ko ek sa manjoor hai ki brahm adrishy hone par bhi nity hai, aur nam-roopatmak jagath drishy hone par bhi pal-pal mean badalane-vala hai. is sath ya saty shabd ka vyavaharik arth hai

  1. aankho ke age abhi pratyaksh dekh p dane vala arthath vyakt (phir kal usaka drishy svaroop chahe badale chahe n badale); aur doosara arth hai.
  2. vah avyakt svaroop ki jo sadaiv ek sa rahata hai, aankhoan se bhale hi n dekh p de par jo kabhi n badale. inamean se pahala arth jinako sammat hai, ve aankhoan se dikhaee dene vale nam-roopatmak jagath ko saty kahate haian, aur parabrahm ko isake viruddh arthath aankho se n dekh p dane vala atev asath athava asaty kahate haian. udaharanarth, taittiriy upanishad mean drishy srishti ke liye ‘sath’ aur jo drishy srishti se pare hai, usake liye ‘tyath’ (arthath jo ki pare hai) athava ‘amrit’ (aankhoan se n dekh p dane vala) shabdoan ka upayog karake brahm ka varnan is prakar kiya hai jo kuchh mool mean ya arambh mean ya vahi dravy “sachh‍ch tyachchabhavath. nirooktan chanirooktan ch. niliyanan chaliyanan ch. vijnanan chavijnanan ch. satyan chanritan ch ."
