prashn- terahavean adhyay ke ikkisavean shlok mean tatha chaudahavean, adhyay ke chaudahavean pandrahavean aur itharahavean shlokoan mean bhagavanh ne sattv, raj, tam- in tinoan gunoan ko achchhi-buri yoniyoan ki prapti mean hetu batalaya hai aur yahaan antakal ke smaran ko karan mana gaya hai- yah kya bat hai?
uttar- manushy jo kuchh bhi karm karata hai, vah sanskar roop se usake antahkaran mean aankit ho jata hai. is prakar ke asankhy karm-sanskar antahkaran mean bhare rahate haian; is sanskaroan ke anusar hi, jis samay jaisa sahakari nimitt mil jata hai; vaisi hi vritti aur smriti hoti hai. jab sattvik karmoan ki adhikata se sattvik sanskar badh jate haian, us samay manushy sattvagunapradhan ho jata hai aur usi ke anusar smriti bhi sattvik hoti hai. isi prakar rajas-tamas karmoan ki adhikata se rajas, tamas sanskaroan ke badhane par vah rajogun ya tamogun pradhan ho jata hai aur usake anusar smriti hoti hai. is tarah karm, gun aur smriti, tinoan ki ekata hone ke karan isamean se kisi ko bhi bhavi yoni ki prapti mean hetu batalaya jay to koee dosh nahian hai; kyoanki vastutah bat ek hi hai.
