yatroparamate chittan niruddhan yogasevaya.
yatr chaivatmanatmanan pashyannatmani tushyati॥20॥
sukhamatyantikan yattadbuddhigrahyamatindriyamh.
vetti yatr n chaivayan sthitashchalati tattvatah॥21॥
yan labdhva chaparan labhan manyate nadhikan tatah.
yasmansthito n du:khen gurunapi vichalyate॥22॥
tan vidyaddu:khasanyogaviyogan yogasanjnitamh॥
s nishchayen yoktavyo yogoanirvinnachetasa..23॥
sankalpaprabhavankamaanstyaktva sarvanasheshatah.
manasaivendriyagraman viniyamy samantatah॥24॥
shanaiah shanairooparamedh buddhya dhritigrihitaya.
atmasansthan manah kritva n kinchidapi chintayeth॥25॥
jis avastha mean chitt yogabhyas dvara sayanmit hokar vishayoan se virakt ho jata hai, jis avastha mean vishuddhachitt dvara atma ka darshan karate karate ve atma mean tusht hote rahate haian, jis avastha mean ve keval buddhi dvara grahaniy indriyatit nity sukhoan ka anubhav karate hai, jis avastha mean sthit hokar atmasvaroop se bhrasht nahi hote hai, jis labh ko (atmasukh ko) prapt ka any labhoan ko usase any nahi manate haian aur jis avastha mean avastha mean avasthit hokar gurutar (bhayakar) du:kh se bhi abhibhoot nahi hote haian us avastha ko sukh-du:kh ke sampark se rahit yog ke nam se jano. yogi us yog ka abhyas dhairyayukt chitt dvara sankalp se utpann hone vali samast kamanaoan ka sampoorn parityagakar, man ke dvara sabhi dishaoan se indriyoan ko sanyatakar sadhushastr ke upadeshanusar nishchayapoorvak kareange. dhairyayukt buddhi dvara man ko atma mean sthitakar kramash: virakt hogean aur kuchh bhi chinta nahian kareange.

bhavanuvad-‘natyashnatastu yogosti’[1] ityadi shlokoan mean ‘yog’ shabd ka tatpary ‘samadhi’ hai. yah samadhi do prakar ki hoti hai-samprajnat aur asamprajnat. savitark aur savichar adi ke bhed se samprajnat ke bhi anek bhed haian. asamprajnat samadhiyog kaisa hota hai? is prashn ke uttar mean ‘yatr’ ityadi sadhe tin shlokoan ko kah rahe haian. samadhi hone par chitt vishayoan se uparat (virakt) ho jata hai arthath vastumatr ko sparsh nahian karata hai. isaka karan hai-niruddh, jaisa ki patanjal sootr mean bhi kaha gaya hai-‘yogashchittavrittinirodhah’. uparokt shlokoan mean ‘yatr’ ityadi padasamooh ka anvay teisavean shlok ke ‘yogasanjnitamh’ se hai. yogi ‘atmana’ arthath paramatmakar antahkaran ke dvara ‘atma’ arthath paramatma ka darshan kar usi se santusht hote haian, ve vahi sukh prapt karate haian. jahaan atyantik sukh prasiddh hai, samadhi bhi vahian hai-aisa jano. yah atmakar arthath atmasaddash buddhi dvara hi grahaniy hai, kyoanki vah atindriy (indriyatit) hai arthath vishay aur indriyoan ke sanyog se prapt sukh se pare haian. atev ve jahaan-kahian bhi kyoan n rahean, ve apane atmasvaroop se vichalit nahian hote haian. atev, us vastu ko prapt karane par any labhoan ko mahatvahin manate haian.
