yah bat gita ke chauthe adhyay ke aranmbh[1] mean di gee hai. mahabharat, shaantiparv ke aant mean narayaniy athava bhagavat dharm ka vistrit niroopan hai jisamean, brahmadev ke anek janmoan mean arthat kalpantaroan mean, bhagavat dharm ki paranpara ka varnan kiya gaya hai aur aant mean yah kaha gaya haiah-

tretayugadau ch tato vivasvanh manave dadau.
manushh‍v lokabhrityarth sutapekshvakave dadau.
ikshvakuna ch kathito vh‍yapy lokanavasthitah॥

arthat brahmadev ke vartaman janm ke tretayug mean is bhagavat dharm ne vivasvan manu-ikshvaku ki paranpara se vistar paya hai. [2] yah paranpara gita mean di huee ukt paranpara se milati hai. [3] do bhinn dharm ki paranpara ka ek hona sanbhav nahian haian, isaliye paranparaoan ki ekata ke karan yah anuman sahaj hi kiya ja sakata hai ki gitadharm aur bhagavatadharm, ye donoan ek hi haian in dharmoan ki yah ekata keval anuman hi par avalanbit nahian hai. narayaniy ya bhagavat dharm ke niroopan mean vaishanpayan janamejay se kahate haiah-

 evamesh mahanh dharmah s te poorv nripotam.
kathito harigitasu samasavidhikalpitah॥

arthat he nrip shreshth janamejay! yahi uth‍tam bhagavat dharm, vidhi yukt aur sankshipt riti se hari gita arthat bhagavadgita mean, tujhe pahale hi batalaya gaya hai [4]. isake bad ek adhyay chho d kar doosare adhyay (mahabha. shaan. 348.8) mean narayaniy dharm ke sanbandh mean phir bhi spasht riti se kaha gaya hai kiah-

 samupodheshvanikeshu kurupaandavayormridhe.
arjune vimanaske ch gita bhagavata svayamh॥

arthat kaurav-paandav yuddh ke samay jab arjun udvign ho gaya tha tab svayan bhagavan ne use yah upadesh diya tha. isase yah spasht hai ki ‘harigita’ se bhagavadgita hi ka matalab hai. guruparanpara ki ekata ke atirikt yah bhi dhyan mean rakhane yogy hai ki jis bhagavat dharm ya narayan dharm ke vishay mean do bar kaha gaya hai ki vahi gita ka pratipady vishay hai, usi ko ‘satvat’ ya ‘ekaantik’ dharm hi kaha hai. isaka vivechan karate samay[5] do lakshan kahe gaye haiah-

 narayanaparo dharmah punaravritidurlabhah .
pravritilakshanashraiv dharmoan narayanatmakah॥

arthat yah narayaniy dharm pravriti marg ka ho kar bhi punarjanm ka talane vala arthat poorn moksh ka data hai. phir is bat ka varnan kiya gaya hai ki yah dharm pravriti marg ka kaise hai. pravriti ka yah arth prasiddh hi hai ki sannyas ne lekar maranaparyant chaturvany vihit nishkam karm hi karata rahe. isaliye yah spasht hai ki gita mean jo upadesh arjun ko kiya gaya hai vah bhagavat dharm ka hai aur usako mahabharatakar pravriti- vishay ka hi manate hai, kyoanki uparyukt dharm bhi pravriti vishay ka hai. sath sath yadi aisa kaha jaye ki gita mean keval pravriti marg ka hi bhagavat dharm hai to yah bhi thik nahian,kyoanki vaishampayan ne janamejay se phir bhi kaha hai [6]

 yatina chapi yo dharmah s te poorv nripotam .
