11. brahm-sthiti

 
(28.9) yadi sm pashyatyasadiandriyarthan
nananumanen viruddhamanyath .
n manyate vastutaya manishi
svapnan yathotthay tirodadhanamh ॥[1]

yah ek kathin shlok hai : yadi sm pashyati asadiandriyarthan n manyate vastutaya manishi – yadyapi jnani mithya indriyoan ke vishayoan ko dekhata hai, tathapi vah manata hai ki ve yatharth mean vastavik nahian hai. vah samajhata hai ki bhasik kary ho raha hai. manyate vastutaya manishi – yah ek vaky hai. manishi ise vastavik nahian manata. jaise mrigajal ko dekhate haian, par yah vastav mean hota nahian, vah bhasamatr maloom hota hai, vaise hi jnani indriyoan ke vishayoan ko dekhata hai. vah vaisa kyoan dekh pata hai? nananumanen. usake chitt mean tark baitha hai ki ye to ‘nana’ haian. usaka yah anuman hai. anuman yani tark. ‘nana’ vala tark usake chitt mean baith gaya hai. yah ‘nana’ vala tark kya hai?

hamare shikshak ne hamean ek misal di thi. ek bartan mean ubalata hua pani rakha, doosare bartan mean baraph ka thanda pani rakha aur tisare bartan mean sada pani rakha. phir ek l dake ko garam pani mean uangali dalane ko kaha aur doosare ko thande pani mean. tho di der ke bad donoan ko sade pani vale bartan mean uangali dalane ko kaha. jisane garam pani mean uangali dali thi, vah kahane laga : ‘aha! kitana thanda pani hai.’ jisane thande pani mean uangali dali thi, vah kahane laga : ‘kitana achchha garam pani hai.’ pani to ek hi tha, lekin ek ko garam laga, to doosare ko thanda. vah pani thanda hai ya garam? javab hai : vah ‘nana’ hai. chij vahi hai, lekin usi chij ka tark anek prakar se kiya ja sakata hai. chij ka svaroop ‘nana’ hai. jnani ke chittar mean ‘nana’ vala tark paith gaya hai.

ise ‘nana-siddhaant’ kahate haian. chij ke anek roop hote haian, lekin ve vastavik nahian, mithya haian. yahi bangala dekhiye. in dinoan ham din bhar andar nahian, bahar baithate haian. lekin garami ke dinoan mean andar baitheange. to, yah bangala achchha hai, ya nahian? vah ‘nana’ hai. saty vastu shashvat hoti hai. jo mithya hai, vah ‘nana’ hai. manushy ke chitr hote haian. mahatma gaandhi ke chitr bataye jate haian – do sal ka bachcha, chhah sal ka bachcha, javan, boodha! chhah sal ke bachche ka boodhe ke sath koee samy nahian dikhata. pahachan nahian ho pati ki yah isi boodhe ka chitr hai. isaka matalab hai ki sharir bhi ‘nana’ hai.

jnani sabhi vishayoan ko dekhata hai, phir bhi samajhata hai ki ve ‘nana’ haian. ve laphange haian. ‘laphanga’ yani jisaka roop sthir nahian. nit roop badalata hi rahata hai. aj ek roop, to kal doosara! ajakal photo lene ka rivaj hai. hamari maan ka ek bhi photo nahian. maan ko photo ke lie baithane ko kaha jata, to vah kaha karati : ‘deh to mithya hai, usaka kya photo lega? chitr to bhagavan ka hona chahie.’

to, jnani purush sab vishayoan ko ‘nana’ manata hai. usaka nishchay ho gaya hai ki atma se bhinn jo vastu hai, vah apane atm-hit ke viruddh hai. jnani kuchh dekhata-sunata nahian, aisa nahian. vah dekhata, sunata hai. vah thanda hai ya garam hai, yah dekhata hai. use vedana bhi hoti hai, phir bhi andar se pahachanata hai. nananumanen – nana vale tark mean jo pak da jayega, vah anyath viruddhamh– atm-hit ke viruddh vastu hai, yahi mana jayega. isalie manishi yani jisaka apane man par kaboo hai, vah dekhata hai, phir bhi manata nahian – n manyate. usake chitt mean un chijoan ka koee akarshan nahian rahata.

svapnan yatha tirodadhanamh– ‘svapnamh’ yani svapn-darshan. jaise svapn ka darshan tirohit yani samapt ho jata hai. kab? utthay – jag jane ke bad. manushy niand ki avastha mean svapn ko saty manata hai, par jagriti ane par vah tikata, to log use bhi saty manate. lekin jagriti mean vah dikhata nahian. isi tarah doosari chijean, jo jagriti mean dikhati haian, gadh nidra mean khatam ho jati hai. isalie unaki bhi kya asakti rakhi jae? ajakal ‘rielizm’ ya vastav-vad bahut chalata hai. kahate haian, indriyoan se jo chijean pahachani jati haian, ve hi vastav haian. lekin yah vastav-vad bhi ‘nananumanen’ – nananuman se tikata nahian. vah avastav-vad hai.
