17.karmano hyapi boddhavyan boddhavyan ch vikarmanah .
akarmanashy boddhavyan gahana karmano gatiah ॥

manushy ko yah samajhana chahie ki karm kya hai. isi prakar use yah bhi samajhana chahie ki galat karm kya hai; aur use yah bhi samajhana hoga ki akarm kya hai. karm ki gati ko samajhana bahut kathin hai. sahi marg kaun-sa hai, yah sadharanataya spasht nahian hota. hamare samay ke vichar, paramparaoan ki roodhiyaan aur antaratma ki avaj apas mean mil jati haian aur hamean bhrant kar deti haian. is sabake bich mean jnani manushy aparivartanashil satyoan ke anusar apane uchchatam vivek ki antardrishti dvara marg khojata hai.

18.karmanyakarm yah pashyedakarmani ch karm yah .
s buddhimanmanushyeshu s yuktah kritsnakarmakrith ॥

jo manushy karm mean akarm ko dekhata hai aur akarm mean karm ko dekhata hai, vah manushyoan mean jnani manushy hai. vah yogi hai aur usane apane sab karmoan ko kar liya hai. jab tak ham anasakt bhavana se karm karate haian, hamara manasik santulan vichalit nahian hota. ham un karmoan se door rahate haian, jo ichchha se utpann hote haian aur ham bhagavanh ke sath ekatm hokar apana karttavy karate jate haian. is prakar sachchi akriyata apani antarik shanti ko banae rakhana aur asakti se mukt rahana hai. akarm ka arth hai- karm ke parinamasvaroop hone vale bandhan ka abhav; kyoan ki vah karm asakti ke bina kiya jata hai. jo vyakti anasakt hokar karm karata hai, vah bandhan mean nahian p data. jab ham shant baithe hote haian aur koee bahari karm nahian karate, tab bhi ham karm kar rahe hote haian. ashtavakragita ye tulana kijieah ’’murkh log duragrah aur ajnan ke karan jo karm se vimukh hote haian, unaka vah vimukh hona bhi karm hi hai. jnani logoan ka karm (arthath unaka nishkam karm) vahi phal pradan karata hai, jo nivritti se prapt hota hai.’’ [1]shankarachary ne isaki vyakhya karate hue kaha hai ki atma mean koee kriya nahian hoti. parantu sharir mean nishkriyata kabhi nahian rahati, tab bhi nahian, jabaki sharir dekhane mean nishkriy maloom hota hai. ramanuj ka mat hai ki akarm atmajnan hai. jnani manushy vah hai, jo sachche karm mean hi jnan ko dekhata hai. usake lie jnan aur karm donoan sath rahate hai madhy akarm atma ki nishkriyata aur vishnu ki sakriyata hai. isalie jnani manushy vah hai, jo bhagavanh sakriyata ko dekhata hai, chahe vyakti sakriy ho ya n ho.
