pratikaro vyadheah sukhamiti viparyasyati janah .

“kisi vyadhi athava duahkh ke hone par usaka jo nivaran ya pratikar kiya jata hai usi ko log bhramavash ‘sukh’ kaha karate hai’’ duahkh-nivaran ke atirikt ‘sukh’ koee bhinn vastu nahian hai. yah nahian samajhana chahiye ki ukt siddhant manushyoan ke sirph unhian vyavaharoan ke vishay mean upayukt hota hai jo svarth hi ke liye kiye jate haian. pichhale prakaran mean anand giri ka yah mat batalaya hi gaya hai ki, jab ham kisi par kuchh upakar karate haian tab usaka karan yahi hota hai ki, usake duahkh ko dekhane se hamari karunay vriti hamare liye asahy ho jati hai. aur us duahsahatv ki vyatha ko door karane ke liye hi ham paropakar kiya karate haian. is paksh ke svikrit karane par hamean mahabharat ke anusar yah manana p dega kiah-

trishnartiprabhavan duahkhan duahkhartiprabhavan sukhamh ..

“pahale jab koee trishna utpann hoti hai tab usaki pi da se duahkh hota hai aur us duahkh ki pi da se phir sukh utpann hota hai’’ [1]. sankshep mean is panth ka yah kahana hai ki, manushy ke man mean pahale ek-adh asha, vasana ya trishna utpann hoti hai; aur jab usase duahkh hone lage tab us duahkh ka jo nivaran kiya jave, vahi sukh kahalata hai; sukh koee doosari bhinn vastu nahian hai. adhik kya kahean, is panth ke logoan ne yah bhi anuman nikala hai ki, manushy ki sab saansarik pravritiyaan keval vasanatmak aur trishnatmak hi hai; jab tak sab saansarik karmo ka tyag nahian kiya jayega tab tak vasana ya trishna ki j d ukh d nahian sakati; aur jab tak trishna ya vasana ki j d nasht nahian ho jati tab tak saty aur nity sukh ka milana bhi sambhav nahian hai. vrihadaranayak [2]mean vikalp se aur jabal-sannyas adi upanishadoan mean pradhanata se usi marg ka pratipadan kiya gaya hai; tatha ashtavakragita [3] evan avadhootagita [4] mean isi ka anuvad hai. is panth ka antim siddhaant yahi hai ki, jis kisi ko atyantik sukh ya moksh prapt karana hai use uchit hai ki vah jitani jaldi ho sake utani jaldi sansar ko chho d kar sannyas le le. smritigranthoan mean jisaka varnan kiya gaya hai aur shrishankarachary ne kaliyug mean jisaki sthapana ki hai, vah shraut- smartt karm- sannyasamarg isi tattv par chalaya gaya hai.
