ath chainan nityajatan nityan va manyase mritamh .
tathapi tvan mahabaho nainan shochitumarhasi ॥ 26 ॥
jatasy hi dhruvo mrityurdhruvan janm mritasy ch .
tasmadapariharyearthe n tvan shochitumarhasi ॥ 27 ॥
avyaktadini bhootani vyaktamadhyani bharat .
avyaktanidhananyev tatr ka paridevana ॥ 28 ॥

(26) athava, yadi too aisa manata ho, ki yah atma (nity nahian, sharir ke sath hi) sada janmata ya sada marata hai, to bhi he mahabahu! usaka shok karana tujhe uchit nahian. (27) kyoanki jo janmata hai usaki mrityu nishchit hai, aur jo marata hai, usaka janm nishchit hai; isaliye (is) aparihary bat ka (oopar ullikhit tere mat ke anusar bhi) shok karana tujh ko uchit nahian. [smaran rahe, ki oopar ke do shlokoan mean batalaee huee upapatti siddhaant paksh ki nahian hai. yah ‘ath ch=athava’ shabd se bich mean hi upasthit kiye hue poorvapaksh ka uttar hai. atma ko nity manoan chahe anity, dikhalana itana hi hai, ki donoan hi pakshoan mean shok karane ka prayojan nahian hai. gita ka yah sachcha siddhaant pahale hi batala chuke haian, ki atma sat, nity, aj, avikary aur achianty ya nirgun hai. astu: deh anity hai, atev shok karana uchit nahian; isi ki, saankhyashastr ke anusar, doosari upapatti batalate haian-]

(28) sab bhoot arambh mean avyakt, madhy mean vyakt aur maran samay mean phir avyakt hote haian; (aisi yadi sabhi ki sthiti hai) to he bharat! usamean shok kis bat ka? [‘avyakt’ shabd ka hi arth hai–‘indriyoan ko gochar n hone vala’. mool ek avyakt dravy se hi age kram-kram se samast vyakt srishti nirmit hoti hai, aur aant mean arthat pralay kal mean sab vyakt srishti ka phir avyakt mean hi lay ho jata hai[1]; is saankhyasiddhaant ka anusaran kar, is shlok ki dalilean haian. saankhyamat valoan ke is siddhaant ka khulasa gita-rahasy ke satavean aur athavean prakaran mean kiya gaya hai. kisi bhi padarth ki vyakt sthiti yadi is prakar kabhi n kabhi nasht hone vali hai, to jo vyakt svaroop nisarg se hi nashavan hai, usake vishay mean shok karane ki koee avashyakata hi nahian. yahi shlok ‘avyakt’ ke badale ‘abhav’ shabd se sanyukt ho kar mahabharat ke striparv[2] mean aya hai. age “adarshanadapatita: punashchadarshanan gata:. n te tav n teshaan tvan tatr ka paridevana॥”[3] is shlok mean ‘adarshan’ arthat ‘najar se door ho jana’ is shabd ka bhi mrityu ko uddesh kar upayog kiya gaya hai. saankhy aur vedaant, donoan shastroan ke anusar shok karana yadi vyarth siddh hota hai, aur atma ko anity manane se bhi yadi yahi bat siddh hoti hai, to phir log mrityu ke vishay mean shok kyoan karate haian? atmasvaroop sambandhi ajnan hi isaka uttar hai. kyoanki-]
