gita mean aisa nahian kiya gaya hai; kintu in tattvoan ki paranpara ko piand brahmanh‍d ke mool avyakt tatha nity tattv tak le jakar moksh, nitidharm aur vyavahar (in tinoan) ki bhi poori ekavakyata tattvajnan ke adhar se gita mean bhagavanh ne siddh kar dikhaee hai; aur, isiliye anugita ke aanrabh mean spasht kaha gaya haian ki kary-akary-nirnayarth jo dharm batalaya gaya hai vahi moksh prapti kara dene ke liye bhi samarth hai[1]. jinaka yah mat hoga, ki mokshadharm aur nitishastr ko athava adhyatmajnan aur niti ko ek mean mila dene ki avashh‍yakata nahian haian, unhean ukt upapadan ka mahattv hi maloom nahian ho sakata. parantu jo log isake sanbandh mean udasin nahian haian, unhean nissandeh yah maloom ho jayaga, ki gita mean kiya gaya karmayog ka pratipadan adhibhautik vivechan ki apeksha adhik shreshth tatha grahy hai. adhyatmajnan ki vriddhi prachin kal mean hindustan mean jaisi ho chuki hai, vaisi aur kahian bhi nahian huee; isaliye pahale pahal kisi any desh mean, karmayog ke aise adhyatmik upapadan ka paya jana bilakul sambhav nahian-aur, yah vidit hi hai ki aisa upapadan kahian paya bhi nahian jata.

yah manjoor hone par bhi is sansar ke ashashh‍vat hone ke karan isamean sukh ki apeksha duahkh hi adhik hai[2], gita mean jo yah siddhant sthapit kiya gaya hai ki ’’karm jyayo hyakarmanaah’’-arthath, saansarik karmoan ka kabhi n kabhi sannyas karane ki apeksha unhian karmoan ki nishkam buddhi se lokakalyan ke liye karate rahana adhik shreyaskar hai[3]-usake sadhak tatha badhak karanoan ka vichar gyarahavean prakaran mean kiya ja chuka hai. parantu gita mean kahe gaye is karmayog ki pashchimiy karmamarg se, athava poorvi sannyasamarg ki pashchimi karmatyag-paksh se, tulana karate samay ukt siddhant ka kuchh adhik spashtikaran karana avashh‍yak maloom hota hai. yah mat vaidik dharm mean pahale pahal up-nishatkaroan tatha saankhyavadiyoan dvara prachalit kiya gaya hai, ki duahkhamay tatha nissar sansar se bina nivrit hue moksh ki prapti nahian ho sakati. isake poorv ka vaidikadharm pravriti-pradhan arthat karmakaandatmak hi tha. parantu, yadi vaidik dharm ko chho d any dharmoan ka vichar kiya jaye to yah maloom hoga, ki unamean se bahutoan ne aranbh se hi sannyas marg ko svikar kar liya tha. udaharanarth, jain aur bauddh dharm pahale hi se nivriti-pradhan haian; aur eesamasih ka bhi vaisa hi upadesh hai. buddh ne apane shishyoan ko yahi aantim upadesh diya hai, ki “sansar ka tyag karake yati-dharm se rahana chahiye, striyoan ki or dekhana nahian chahiye aur unase batachit bhi nahian karani chahiye’’[4]; thik isi tarah mool eesaeedharm ka bhi kathan hai.
