ye vedanaean janmasiddh arthat mool hi ki aur anubhavagamy haian, isaliye naiyyayakoan ki ukt vyakhya se badh kar sukh-duahkh ka adhik uttam lakshan batalaya nahian ja sakata. koee yah kahe ki ye vedanaroop sukh-duahkh keval manushy ke vyaparoan se hi utpann hote haian, to yah bat bhi thik nahian hai; kyoanki kabhi kabhi devataoan ke kop se bhi b de b de rog aur duahkh utpann hua karate haian jinhean manushy ko avashh‍y bhogana p data hai. isiliye vedant-granthoan mean samanyatah in sukh-duahkhoan ke tin bhed- adhidaivik, adhibhautik aur adhyatmik- kiye gaye haie. devataoan ki kripa ya kop se jo sukh-duahkh milate haian unhean ‘adhidaivik’ kahate haian. bahy srishti ke, prithvi adi panchamahabhootatmak, padartho ka manushy ki indriyoan se sanyog hone par, shitoshn adi ke karan jo sukh-duahkh hua karate haian unhean ‘adhibhautik’ kahate haian. aur, aise bahy sanyog ke bina hi hone vale any sab sukh-duahkhoan ko ‘adhyatmik’ kahate haian.

yadi sukh-duahkh ka yah vargikaran svikar kiya jay, to sharir hi ke vat-pit adi doshoan ka pariman big d jane se utpann hone vale jvar adi duahkhoan ko, tatha unhian doshoan ka pariman yathochit rahane se anubhav mean ane vale shariki svasthy ko, adhyatmik sukh-duahkh kahana p data hai. kyoanki, yadyapi ye sukh-duahkh panchabhootatmak sharir se sambandh rakhate haian arthat ye sharirik haian tathapi hamesha yah nahian kaha ja sakata ki ye sharir se bahar rahane vale padarthoan ke sanyog se paida hue haiaur, isaliye adhyatmik sukh-duahkhoan ke, vedant ki drishti se, phir bhi do bhed- sharirik aur manasik karane p date haian parantu, yadi is prakar sukh-duahkhoan ko bhinn manane ki koee avashyakata nahian rah jati kyoanki, yah to spasht hi hai ki, devataoan ki kripa athava krodh se hone vale sukh-duahkhoan ko bhi akhir manushy apane hi sharir ya man ke dvara bhogata hai. atev hamane is granth mean vedant-granthoan ki paribhasha ke anusar sukh-duahkhoan ka trividh vargikaran nahian kiya hai, kintu unake do hi varg (bahy ya sharirik aur abhyantar ya manasik) kiye haian, aur isi vargikaran ke anusar, hamane is granth mean sab prakar ke sharirik sukh-duahkhoan ko “adhibhautik’’ aur sab prakar ke manasik sukh-duahkhoan ko ‘adhyatmik’ kaha hai.

vedant granthoan mean jaisa tisara varg ‘adhidaivik’ diya gaya hai vaisa hamane nahian kiya haian; kyoanki hamare matanusar sukh-duahkhoan ka shastriy riti se vivechan karane ke liye yah dvividh vargikaran hi adhik subhite ka hai. sukh-duahkh ka jo vivechan niche kiya gaya hai use p date samay yah bat avashy dhyan mean rakhani chahiye, ki vedant granthoan ke aur hamare vargikaran mean bhed hai. sukh-duahkhoan ko chahe ap dvividh maniye athava vividh; isamean sandeh nahian ki duahkh ki chah kisi manushy ko nahian hoti. isiliye vedant aur saankhy shastr [1]mean kaha gaya hai ki, sab prakar ke duahkhoan ki atyant nivriti karana aur atyantik tatha nity sukh ki prapti karana hi manushy ka param purusharth hai. jab yah bat nishchit ho chuki, ki manushy ka param sadhy ya uddesh atyantik sukh hi hai, tab ye prashn man mean sahaj hi utpann hote haian ki atyant, saty aur nity sukh kisako kahana chahiye, usaki prapti hona sanbhav hai ya nahian? yadi sanbhav hai to kab aur kaise?
