tasmannarha vayan hantuan dhartarashtransvabandhavanh .
svajanan hi kathan hatva sukhin: syam madhav ॥ 37 ॥
yadyapyete n pashyanti lobhopahatachetas: .
kulakshayakritan doshan mitradrohe ch patakamh ॥ 38 ॥
kathan n jneyamasmabhi: papadasmannivartitumh .
kulakshayakritan doshan prapashyadbhirjanardan ॥ 39 ॥

(36) he janardan! in kauravoan ko mar kar hamara kaun sa priy hoga? yadyapi ye atatayi haian, to bhi inako marane se hamean pap hi lagega. (37) isaliye hamean apane hi bandhav kauravoan ko marana uchit nahian hai kyoanki, he madhav! svajanoan ko mar kar ham sukhi kyoankar hoange?

tilak ke anusarh‌-[agnido garadashchaiv shastrapanirdhanapah:. kshetradaraharashchaiv shadhate atatayin:॥[1] arthat ghar jalane ke liye aya hua, vish dene vala, hath mean hathiyar le kar marane ke liye aya hua, dhan loot kar le jane vala aur stri ya khet ka haranakarta–ye chh: atatayi haian. manu ne bhi kaha hai, ki in dushtoan ko bedh dak jan se mar dale, isamean koee patak nahian hai[2].]

(38) lobh se jinaki buddhi nasht ho gee hai, unhean kul ke kshay se hone vala dosh aur mitradroh ka patak yadyapi dikhaee nahian deta, (39) tathapi he janardan! kulakshay ka dosh hamean spasht dekh p d raha hai, at: is pap se paraanmukh hone ki bat hamare man mean aye bina kaise rahegi?

tilak ke anusar-[pratham se hi yah pratyaksh ho jane par ki yuddh mean guruvadh, sahyadvadh aur kulakshay hoga, l daee-sambandhi apane karttavy ke vishay mean arjun ko jo vyamoh hua, usaka kya bij hai? gita mean jo age pratipadan hai, usase isaka kya sambandh hai? aur us drishti se prathamadhyay ka kaun sa mahattv hai? in sab prashnoan ka vichar gitarahasy ke pahale aur phir chaudahavean prakaran mean hamane kiya hai, use dekho. is sthan par aisi sadharan yuktiyoan ka ullekh kiya gaya hai jaise, lobh se buddhi nasht ho jane ke karan dushtoan ko apani dushtata jan n p dati ho, to chatur purushoan ko dushtoan ke phand mean p d kar dusht n ho jana chahiye–n pape pratipap: syat–unhean nishchiant rahana chahiye. in sadharan yuktiyoan ka aise prasang par kahaan tak upayog kiya ja sakata hai, athava karana chahiye?–yah bhi oopar ke saman hi ek mahattv ka prashn hai; aur isaka gita ke anusar jo uttar hai, usaka hamane gitarahasy ke barahavean prakaran[3] mean niroopan kiya hai. gita ke agale adhyayoan mean jo vivechan hai, vah arjun ki un shankaoan ki nivritti karane ke liye hai, ki jo use pahale adhyay mean huee thi; is bat par dhyan diye rahane se gita ka tatpary samajhane mean kisi prakar ka sandeh nahian rah jata. bharatiy yuddh mean ek hi rashtr aur dharm ke logoan mean phoot ho gee thi aur ve paraspar marane-marane par utaroo ho gaye the. isi karan se ukt shankaean utpann huee haian. arvachin itihas mean jahaan-jahaan aise prasang aye haian, vahaan-vahaan aise hi prashn upasthit hue haian. astu; age kulakshay se jo jo anarth hote haian, unhean arjun spasht kar kahata hai.]
