ab arsh mahakavy mean nayak ka keval parakram batala dene se hi kam nahian chalata; kiantu usamean yah bhi batalana p data hai, ki nayak jo kuchh karata hai vah uchit hai ya anuchit; itana hi kyoan, sanskrit ke atirikt any vaangamayoan mean jo ukt prakar ke mahakavy haian unase bhi yahi jnat hota hai, ki nayak ke karyoan ke gun-doshoan ka vivechan karana arsh mahakavy ka ek pradhan bhag hota hai. arvachin drishti se dekha jay to kahana p dega, ki nayakoan ke karyoan ka samarthan keval nitishastr ke adhar par karana chahiye. kiantu prachin samay mean, dharm tatha niti mean prithak bhed nahian mana jata tha, atev ukt samarthan ke liye dharm-drishti ke siva any marg nahian tha. phir yah batalane ki avashyakata nahian, ki jo bhagavatadharm bharat ke nayakoan ko grahy hua tha, athava jo unhian ke dvara pravritt kiya gaya tha, usi bhagavatadharm ke adhar par unake karyoan ka samarthan karana bhi avashyak tha. isake siva doosara karan yah bhi hai, ki bhagavatadharm ke atirikt tatkalin prachalit any vaidikadharm-panth nyoonadhik riti se athava sarvatha nivritti-pradhan the, isaliye unamean varnit dharmatattavoan ke adhar par bharat ke nayakoan ki virata ka poornataya samarthan karana sanbhav nahian tha. atev karmayog-pradhan bhagavatadharm ka niroopan mahakavyatmak mool bharat hi mean karana avashyak tha.

yahi mool gita hai; aur yadi bhagavatadharm ke moolasvaroop ka upapattisahit pratipadan karane vala sab se pahala granth yah n bhi ho, to bhi yah sthool anuman kiya ja sakata hai ki yah adi-granthoan mean se ek avashy hai aur isaka kal eesa ke lagabhag 900 varsh pahale hai. is prakar gita yadi bhagavatadharm-pradhan pahala granth n ho, to bhi vah mukhy granthoan mean se ek avashy hai; isaliye is bat ka digdarshan karana avashyak tha, ki usamean pratipadit nishkam karmayog tatkalin prachalit any dharm-panthoan se-arthat karmakaand se, aupanishadik jnan se, saankhy se, chitt-nirodharoopi yog se tatha bhakti se bhi-aviruddh hai. itana hi nahian, kiantu yahi is granth ka mukhy prayojan bhi kaha ja sakata hai. vedaant aur mimaansa shastr pichhe se bane haian, isaliye unaka pratipadan mool gita mean nahian a sakata; aur yahi karan hai ki kuchh log yah shanka karate haian ki vedaant vishay gita mean pichhe se mila diya gaya hai. parantu niyamabaddh vedaant aur mimaansa shastr pichhe bhale hi bane hoan; kiantu isamean koee sandeh nahian ki in shastroan ke pratipady vishay bahut prachin haian-aur is bat ka ullekh ham oopar kar hi aye haian. atev mool gita mean in vishayoan ka pravesh hona kaladrishti se kisi prakar viparit nahian kaha ja sakata. tathapi ham yah bhi nahian kahate, ki jab mool bharat ka mahabharat banaya gaya hoga tab, moolagita mean kuchh bhi parivartan nahian hua hoga.
