prakh‍tan sansh‍kar ke karan aisa maloom hota hai ki prakriti ki gaanth ham se is janh‍m mean aj nahian chhoot sakati; paranh‍tu vahi banh‍dhan kram kram se badhane vale karmayog ke abhh‍yas se kal ya doosare janh‍moan mean ap hi ap dhila ho jata hai, aur aisa hote hote “bahoonaan janh‍manamanh‍te jnanavanh‍maan prapadyate”[1] –kabhi n kabhi poorn jnan ki prapti hone se prakriti ki gaanth ya paradhinata chhoot jati hai evan ath‍ma apane mool ki poorn nirgun mukh‍tavash‍tha ko arthat moksh-dasha ko pahuanch jata hai. manushh‍y kh‍ya nahian kar sakata hai. jo yah kahavat prachalit hai ki “nar karani kare to nar se narayan hoy” vah vedanh‍t ke ukh‍t siddhanh‍t ka hi anuvad hai; aur isi liye yogavasishh‍thakar ne mumukshu prakaran mean udyog ki khoob prashansa ki hai tatha asandigh‍dh riti se kaha hai ki anh‍t mean sab kuchh udyog se hi milata hai[2]. yah siddh ho chuka ki jnan-prapti ka prayath‍n karane ke liye jivath‍ma mool mean sh‍vatantr hai aur sh‍vavalamh‍banapoorvak dirghodyog se use kabhi n kabhi prakh‍tan karm ke panje se chhutakara mil hi jata hai. ab tho da sa is bat ka sh‍pashtikaran aur ho jana chahiye, ki karm-kshay kise kahate haian aur vah kab hota hai.

karm-kshay ka arth hai–sab karmoan ke banh‍dhanoan se poorn arthat ni:shesh mukti hona. paranh‍tu pahale kah aye haian ki koee purush jnani bhi ho jay tathapi jab tak sharir hai tab tak sona, baithana, bhookh, ph‍yas ith‍yadi karm chhoot nahian sakate, aur prarabh‍dh karm ka bhi bina bhoge kshay nahian hota, isaliye vah agrah se deh ka th‍yag nahian kar sakata. isamean sanh‍deh nahian ki jnan hone ke poorv kiye gaye sab karmoan ka nash jnan hone par ho jata hai; paranh‍tu jabaki jnani purush ko yavajivan jnanottar kal mean bhi kuchh n kuchh karm karana hi p data hai, tab aise karmoan se usaka chhutakara kaise hoga. aur, yadi chhutakara n ho to yah shanka uth‍panh‍nh‍a hoti hai ki phir poorvakarm-kshay ya age moksh bhi hoga. is par vedanh‍tashash‍tr ka uttar yah hai, ki jnani manushh‍y ki nam-roopath‍mak deh ko nam-roopath‍mak karmoan se yadyapi kabhi chhutakara nahian mil sakata, tathapi in karmoan ke phaloan ko apane oopar lad lene ya n lene mean ath‍ma poorn riti se sh‍vatantr hai; isaliye yadi indriyoan par vijay praph‍t karake karm ke vishay mean pranimatr ki jo asakti hoti hai keval usaka hi kshay kiya jay, to jnani manushh‍y karm karake bhi usake phal ka bhagi nahian hota.
