prahlad, virochan aur bali yah tinoan hi haribhakt the, yajn-tap-dan niyamapoorvak karate the kintu tamoguni hone ke karan inako devataoan ki vibhooti v shri sahy nahian thi; daityaraj bali ne devataoan par akraman kar svarg par apana adhikar kar liya aur devata svarg tyagakar prithvi par rahane lage. devataoan ka kasht v duahkh nivaran hetu unaki mata aditi ne ghor tap kiya jisase prasann hokar bhagavan vishnu pragat hue. aditi ne bhagavan vishnu se yahi yachana ki ki, “mere putr devata v diti ke putr daity donoan bhaee bhaee haian diti ke putr bhi mere hi putr haian atah maian unaka vadh v sanhar nahian chahati; maian keval yahi chahati hooan ki mere putr devataoan ko raj-lakshmi bani rahe.” is varadan ke phalasvaroop hi “vaman avatar” hua jisane bina rakt-pat kie hi vachan-baddh daity-raj bali se svargiy samrajy vapas lekar usaka adhipati devataoan ka banaya.” is katha ko vishleshanatmak drishti se dekhane par nimnalikhit sarabhoot tathy nikalate haianah- (1) devata[1] aur daity[2] ka astitv bhaee chare ka hai; sah astitv ka hai. do gun[3] yukt hone se daity b de arthath prabal haian; devata keval ek sattv-guni hone se chhote arthath nirbal haian. (2) donoan ka utpadak[4]kashyap muni arthath prakriti kintu ek hi bij mean gun-bhed hona tatha bhinn-bhinn yoniyaan hona. (3) eeshvar dvara devataoan ko unaki janm-siddh shri dilava kar yah siddh kiya gaya hai ki dev-shri eeshvar pradatt hai ise koee chhin nahian sakata; yadi asur isako chhin bhi levean to vah us lakshmi ka bhog sthayi roop se nahian kar sakate unaka yah bhog alp-kalik hota hai; aur (4) asuroan[5] ka sanhar n karava kar mata aditi ne satogun aur tamogun mean paraspar sangharsh nirantar hote rahana kayam rakh diya. |
