bhagavan ko sarvajn, sarv-shaktiman, sarv-niyanta, srishti ka karta v harata manane se unake prati svabhavatah bhakti aur anurag, nirbharata tatha atm samarpan hota hai. atm samarpan kar dene se shant-ras ka labh hota hai, aur shaant-ras ka labh ho jane par shitoshn tatha sukh-duahkh, manapaman, siddhi-asiddhi, jay-parajay, stuti-ninda, harsh-shok adi sabhi avasthaoan mean man prashant rahata hai aur prashant man se bhakti v upasana hoti hai. asthir v ch‌anchal-man se upasana nahian hoti. upasana karane ke dasy, sakhy, vatsaly v madhur yah char bhav pradhan haian.

  • dasy-bhav ki upasana mean upasak svayan ko das v sevak manata hai, tatha upasy dev ko apana svami ya prabhu. is bhavana mean upasak apane upasy dev ka aangaroop ban jata hai. usaki koee svatantr ya vyaktigat ichchha nahi rahati prabhu ki ichchha hi usaki ichchha hoti hai.
  • sakhy-bhav ke upasak upasy dev ko sakha[1] bhav mean upasate haian. unaka yah bhav svabhavik hota hai hai.
  • vatsaly-bhav ke upasak apane upasy dev ki bhavana putr-roop mean karake putr ki bhaanti use prem-poorvak snan-bhojanadi karakar seva karate haian.
  • madhuropasana mean upasak dhyan, chintan, kirtan tatha seva-pooja mean sada tanmay rahata hai. yah dehabhiman rahit prem sadhak sahachari bhav hota hai.

upasana karane ki

  1. vaidik vidhi;
  2. taantrik vidhi;
  3. pauranik vidhi; aur
  4. premayukt ya anuragatmika vidhi; yah char prakar ki vidhiyaan haian.
  • (1) vaidik vidhi ka vistrit varnan ‘gopalatapini upanishadh’ mean hai;
  • (2) tantrik upasana ka varnan narad-pancharatr kramadipika, gautamiy tantr adi tantr-granthoan milata hai.
  • (3) pauranik upasana ka varnan vishnu puran, narad puran, padm puran adi puran-granthoan mean milata hai.
  • (4) premayukt vidhi mean shant, dasy, sakhy, vatsaly bhavoan mean se kisi ek bhav se premayukt upasana ki jati hai.

‘upasana’ shabd ka arth: up = samip + asan = baithana, samip baithana, nikat jana, sannidhy hona hota hai. avidya ka avaran hatakar jnan ka avaran grahan karane se ya jnan ka ashray lene se up + asan arthath eeshvar ka sannidhy prapt hota hai. is up + asan (sannidhy) ke prapt ho jane par upasak svayan bhi apane ap se hat jata hai. bhagavan ka priy ho jata hai aur param gati pata hai.

upasak - jo vyakti apane upasy dev mean tallin hokar apana svayan ka samavesh usamean karane ka prayatn karata hai vah upasak kaha jata hai. upasak kamana, buddhi, indiyaan atma, sharir adi sabhi ko upasy dev ke arpan kar usamean parayan ho jata hai. shraddha manoyog, sthirita v dridh bhavana ke abhav mean poojan, archana, dhyan, bhakti v any sabhi prakar ke niyamopaniyam vyarth v nirarthak hote haian.
