miraanbaee ki padavali mean, isi karan, sarvatr hamean bhakti ras ki us dhara ka hi prabhav lakshit hota hai jise ‘madhury bhav’ athava ‘madhuras’ kaha karate haian. madhur ras bhakti ki any dharaoan, jaise shaant, dasy, sakhy, va vatsaly, se bhinn hai. ‘shaant’ ke anusar bhakt, bhagavanh ke sagun roop ka anubhav kar unaka svaroop chiantan kiya karata hai aur ‘dasy’ ke anusar unake aishvary-chintan mean magn rah kar unaka gaurav gan karata rahata hai tatha, isi prakar, ‘sakhy’ ke anusar vah bhagavanh ko, kishoravastha ka sakha man, unase nyoonadhik aniyantrit prem karane lagata hai aur ‘vatsaly ke anusar unake balaroop par hi adhik mugdh hokar, unaki balalila ka rasasvadan kiya karata hai. kintu ‘madhuraras’ ke anusar bhakt unako apane pati va sarvasv ke roop mean dekhata hai aur, isi karan, unake sath usaka sambandh atyant dhanishthata ka ho jata hai. kahate haian ki jo ‘atti’ va goodh prem ek yuvati ke hriday mean, kisi yuvak ko dekhakar, jag uthata hai vah atyant durlabh hai; isi karan bhakt log shri bhagavanh krishn ko, sthir chitt ke sath, patni bhav se hi nity bhaja karate haian.’’[1] stri purush ki aisi hi asakti ke sambandh mean shrriangar ras ka bhi pradurbhav hota hai, atev, madhuraras ke bhi bhav, vibhav anubhavadi prayah usi prakar ke hote haian jaise shrriangararas ke. kintu in donoan mean mahan aantar paya jata hai. shrriangararas ka vishay, saansarik hone se, j d moortiroop hai, kintu madhuraras ka vishay alaukik evan svayan bhagavanh svaroop hai, atev shrriangararas ke sthayi bhav rati ka sambandh yadi sthool ya liang sharir se hai to madhuraras, ek prakar se, svayan atama ka hi dharm hai.[2] madhuraras ka anubhav, shrriangararas ke saman hone par bhi, vastutah, iandriyatit hai. shrriangararas madhuraras mean parinat ho sakata hai yadi bhakti ki sthtii us prakar ki ho jay jaisi braj ki gopiyoan ki thi.

braj ki gopiyoan ka shrikrishn ke prati prem parakashtha ko pahuanch gaya tha. ve unaki svakiya va vivahita bharyayean nahian thian. ve parakiya thian aur, isi karan, apane prem ke svabhavik sphutan mean unhean anek prakar ki badhaoan ka samana bhi karana p data tha. kintu, jaisa niyam hai, in batoan mean badhayean jitane sankat ke saman kh da karati haian, prem ki gati utani hi tivr hoti jati hai aur aant mean, vah ek vichitr madhur pagalapan ka roop dharan kar leta hai jise adhik upayukt shabd mean ham ‘divanapan’ kah sakate haian. is prem ka avasan indriyoan dvara upabhog, shariradi matr ki asakti va svarth labh mean hi nahian ho jata.
