yatraitallakshyate sarp vrittans brahmanah smritah.
yatrai tatr bhavetsarp tan shudramiti nirdisheth..26..

arthat-

yudhishthir ne kaha ki-

“brahman ke lakshan yadi shoodr mean hoan aur shoodr ke gun v lakshan brahman mean hoan to brahman brahman nahian hota kintu shoodr hota hai; aur brahman ke gun v lakshan vala shoodr brahman hota hai.” is vivechan se yah spasht hai ki jise bharat mean varn-vyavastha kahate haian aur jo shastroan dvara paribaddh kar di gee hai vah vyavastha vishv-vyapi hai yadyapi bharat ke siva yah char varn any deshoan mean prathak-prathak nam se sanjnit nahian haian kintu shlok 42 se 44 mean varnit lakshan v karmoan ke anusar yah vibhajan svabhavik v vishv-vyapi hai. yah chaturvarn vyavastha sankuchit ya parisimit nahian hai jaisa ki uparokt yudhishthir ke vaky se spasht hai.
