paandavoan ne barah varsh ka vanavas aur ek varsh ka ajnatavas samapt hone par jab pratijna ke anusar apana adha rajy maanga, tab duryodhan ne adha rajy to kya, tikhi sooee ki nok-jitani jamin bhi bina yuddh ke deni svikar nahian ki. atah paandavoan ne mata kuanti ki ajna ke anusar yuddh karana svikar kar liya. is prakar pandavoan aur kauravoan ka yuddh hona nishchit ho gaya aur tadanusar donoan or se yuddh ki taiyari hone lagi. maharshi vedavyas ji ka dhritarashtr par bahut sneh tha. us sneh ke karan unhoanne dhritarashtr ke pas akar kaha ki ‘yuddh hona aur usamean kshatriyoan ka mahan sanhar hona avashyambhavi hai, ise koee tal nahian sakata. yadi tum yuddh dekhana chahate ho to maian tumhean divy drishti de sakata hooan, jisamean tum yahian baithe-baithe yuddh ko achchhi tarah se dekh sakate ho.’ is par dhritarashtr ne kaha ki ‘maian janmabhar andha raha, ab apane kul ke sanhar ko maian dakhana nahian chahata; parantu yuddh kaise ho raha hai- yah samachar jaroor sunana chahata hooan.’ tab vyasaji ne kaha ki ‘maian sanjay ko divy drishti deta hooan, jisase yah sampoorn yuddh ko, sampoorn ghatanaoan ko, sainikoan ke man mean ayi huee batoan ko bhi jan lega, sun lega, dekh lega aur sab batean tumhean suna bhi dega .’ aisa kahakar vyas ji ne sanjay ko divy drishti pradan ki. |

- ↑ mahabharat mean kul atharah parv haian. un parvoan ke antargat kee avantar parv bhi haian. unamean se (bhishm parv ke antargat) yah 'shrimadbhagavadgitaparv' hai, jo bhishmaparv ke terahavean adhyay se arambh hokar bayalisavean adhyay mean samapt ho jata hai.
