trayodash adhyay
‘idamh’ ka arth hai- ‘yah’ arthat apane se alag dikhane vala. sabase pahale dekhane mean ata hai- prithvi, jal, tej, vayu tatha akash se bana yah sthool sharir. yah drishy hai aur parivartanashil hai. isako dekhane vale haian- netr. jaise drishy mean rang, akriti, avastha, upayog adi sabhi badalate rahate haian, par unako dekhane vale netr ek hi rahate haian, aise hi shabd, sparsh, roop, ras aur gandharoop vishay bhi badalate rahate haian, par unako janane vale kan, tvacha, netr, jihva aur nasika ek hi rahate haian. jaise netroan se thik dikhana, kam dikhana aur bilakul n dikhana- ye netr mean hone vale parivartan man ke dvara jane jate haian, aise hi kan, tvacha, jihva aur nasika mean hone vale parivartan bhi man ke dvara jane jate haian. atah paanchoan jnaneandriyaan (kan, tvacha, netr jihva aur nasika) bhi drishy haian. kabhi kshubdh aur kabhi shant, kabhi sthir aur kabhi chanchal- ye man mean hone vale parivartan buddhi ke dvara jane jate haian. atah man bhi drishy hai. kabhi thik samajhana, kabhi kam samajhana aur kabhi bilakul n samajhana- ye buddhi mean hone vale parivartan svayan (jivatma) ke dvara jane jate haian. atah buddhi bhi drishy hai. buddhi adi ke drashta svayan (jivatma) mean kabhi parivartan hua nahian, hai nahian, hoga nahian aur hona sanbhav bhi nahian. vah sada ekaras rahata hai; atah vah kabhi kisi ka drishy nahian ho sakata[1] iandriyaan apane-apane vishay ko to jan sakati hai, par vishay apane se par (sookshm, shreshth aur prakashak) iandriyoan ko nahian jan sakate. isi tarah iandriyaan aur vishay man ko nahian jan sakate; tatha buddhi, man, iandriyaan aur vishay svayan ko nahian jan sakate. n janane mean mukhy karan yah hai ki iandriyaan, man aur buddhi to sapeksh drashta haian arthat ek doosare ki sahayata se keval apane se sthool roop ko dekhane vale haian; kiantu svayan (jivatma) sharir, iandriyaan, man aur buddhi se atyant sookshm aur shreshth hone ke karan nirapeksh drashta hai arthat doosare kisi ki sahayata ke bina khud hi dekhane vala hai. uparyukt vivechan mean yadyapi iandriyaan, man aur buddhi ko bhi drashta kaha gaya hai, tathapi vahaan bhi yah samajh lena chahie ki svayan (jivatma) ke sath rahane par hi inake dvara dekha jana sanbhav hota hai. karan ki man, buddhi adi jad prakriti ka kary hone se svatantr drashta nahian ho sakati. atah svayan hi vastavik drashta hai. |

‘sarvapratham netr drashta haian aur roop drishy hai. phir man drashta hai aur netradi iandriyaan drishy hai. phir buddhi drashta hai aur man drishy hai. aant mean buddhi ki vrittiyoan ka bhi jo drashta hai, vah sakshi (svayan prakash atma) kisi ka bhi drishy nahian hai.’
