vidur dvara sadachar ki mahatta ko samajhana

vidur ji kahate haian- rajan! sadachar ki raksha yatnapoorvak karani chahiye; dhan to ata aur jata rahata hai. dhan kshin ho jane par bhi sadachari manushh‍y kshin nahian mana jata; kiantu jo sadachar se bhrashh‍t ho gaya, use to nashh‍t hi samajhana chahiye. jo kul sadachar se hin haian, gauoan, pashuoan, gho doan tatha hari-bhari kheti se sampann hone par bhi unnati nahian kar pate. hamare kul mean koee bair karane vala n ho, doosaroan ke dhan ka apaharan karane vala raja athava mantri n ho aur mitr drohi, kapati tatha asatyavadi n ho. isi prakar mata-pita, devata aur atithiyoan ko bhojan karane se pahale bhojan karane vala bhi n ho. ham logoan mean se jo brahmanoan ki hatya kare, brahmanoan ke sath dvesh kare tatha pitaroan ko pinh‍dadan evan tarpan n kare, vah hamari sabha mean pravesh n karean. trin ka asan, prithvi, jal aur chauthi mithi vani sajjanoan ke ghar mean in char chijoan ki kabhi kami nahian hoti. mahaprajn rajan! punh‍yakarm karane vale dharmatma purushoan ke yahaan ye[2] b di shraddha ke sath satkar ke liye upasthit ki jati haian. nripavar! rath chhota-sa hone par bhi bhar dho sakata hai, kiantu doosare kath b de-b de hone par bhi aisa nahian kar sakate. isi prakar uttam kul mean utpann utsahi purush bhar sah sakate haian, doosare manushh‍y vaise nahian hote. jisake kop se bhayabhit hona p de tatha shankit hokar jisaki seva ki jay, vah mitr nahian hai. mitr to vahi hai, jis par pita ki bhaanti vishh‍vas kiya ja sake; doosare to sathi matr haian. pahale se koee sambandh n hone par bhi jo mitrata ka bartav kare, vahi bandhu, vahi mitr, vahi sahara aur vahi ashray hai. jisaka chitt chanchal hai, jo vriddhoan ki seva nahian karata, us anishchitamati purush ke liye mitroan ka sangrah sthayi nahian hota. jaise sookhe sarovar ke oopar hi hans mandarakar rah jate haian, usake bhitar nahian pravesh karate, usi prakar jisaka chitt chanchal hai, jo ajnani aur indriyoan ka gulam hai, arth usako tyag dete haian. dushh‍t purushoan ka svabhav megh ke saman chanchal hota hai, ve sahasa krodh kar baithate haian aur akaran hi prasann ho jate haian. jo mitroan se satkar pakar aur unaki sahayata se kritakary hokar bhi unake nahian hote, aise kritaghh‍noan ke marane par unaka maans maansabhoji jantu bhi nahian khate. dhan ho ya n ho, mitroan se kuchh bhi n maangate hue unaka satkar to kare hi. mitroan ke sar-asar ki pariksha n kare. santap[3] se roop nashh‍t hota hai, santap se bal nashh‍t hota hai, santap se jnan nashh‍t hota hai aur santap se manushh‍y rog ko prapt hota hai. abhishh‍t vastu shok karane se nahian milati; usase to keval sharir santapt hota hai aur shatru prasann hote haian. isaliye ap man mean shok n karean. manushh‍y bar-bar marata aur janm leta hai, bar-bar kshay aur vriddhi ko prapt hota hai, bar-bar svayan doosare se yachana karata hai aur doosare usase yachana karate haian tatha baranbar vah doosaroan ke liye shok karata hai aur doosare usake liye shok karate haian.[4] sukh-du:kh, utpatti-vinash, labh-hani aur jivan-maran- ye kramash: sabako prapt hote haian; isaliye dhir purush ko inake liye harsh aur shok nahian karana chahiye. ye chh: indriyaan bahut hi chanchal haian; inamean se jo-jo indriy jis-jis vishay ki or badhati hai, vahaan-vahaan buddhi usi prakar kshin hoti hai, jaise phoote gh de se pani sada choo jata hai.[5]

dhritarashtr ka bhay prakat karana

dhritarashh‍tr ne kaha- vidur! sookshh‍m dharm se bandhe hue, shikha se sushobhit hone vale raja yudhishthir ke sath maianne mithh‍ya vyavahar kiya hai; at: ve yuddh karake mere moorkh putroan ka nash kar daleange. mahamate! yah sab kuchh sada hi bhay se udvign hai, mera yah man bhi bhay se udvign hai; isaliye jo udveg-shoony aur shant pad (marg) ho, vahi mujhe batao.[5]

vidur ji dvara shaanti ka upay batana

vidur ji bole- papashoony naresh! vidya, tap, indriy-nigrah aur lobh tyag ke siva aur koee apake liye shanti ka upay maian nahian dekhata. buddhi se manushh‍y apane bhay ko door karata hai, tapasya se mahatpad ko prapt hota hai, gurushushroosha se jnan aur yog se shanti pata hai. moksh ki ichchha rakhane vale manushh‍y dan ke punh‍y ka ashray nahian lete, ved ke punh‍y ka bhi ashray nahian lete; kiantu nishh‍kam-bhav se rag-dvesh se rahit ho is lok mean vicharate rahate haian. samyak adhh‍yayan, nyayochit yuddh, punh‍yakarm aur achchhi tarah ki huee tapasya ke ant mean sukh ki vriddhi hoti hai. rajan! apas mean phoot rakhane vale log achh‍chhe bichhaunoan se yukh‍t palang pakar bhi kabhi sukh ki niand nahian so pate; unh‍hean striyoan ke pas rahakar tatha soot-magadhoan dvara ki huee sh‍tuti sunakar bhi prasanh‍nata nahian hoti. jo parash‍par bhedabhav rakhate haian, ve kabhi dharm ka acharan nahian karate. ve sukh bhi nahian pate. unh‍hean gaurav nahian praph‍t hota tatha unh‍hean shaanti ki varta bhi nahian suhati. hit ki bat bhi kahi jay to unh‍hean achh‍chhi nahian lagati. unake yogakshem ki bhi siddhi nahian ho pati. rajan! bhed-bhav vale purushoan ki vinash ke siva aur koee gati nahian hai. jaise gauoan se doodh, brahman mean tap aur yuvati striyoan mean chanchalata ka hona adhik samh‍bhav hai, usi prakar apane jatibanh‍dhuoan se bhay hona bhi samh‍bhav hi hai. nith‍y sianchakar badhayi huee patali lataean bahut hone ke karan varshoan tak nana prakar ke jhoanke sahati haian; yahi bat satpurushoan ke vishay mean bhi samajhani chahiye[6] bharatashreshh‍th dhritarashh‍tr! jalati huee lak diyaan alag-alag hone par dhuaan pheankati haian aur ek sath hone par prajh‍valit ho uthati haian. isi prakar jatibandhu bhi apas mean phoot hone par du:kh uthate haian aur ekata hone par sukhi rahate haian. dhritarashh‍tr! jo log brahmanoan, striyoan, jati valoan aur gauoan-par hi shoorata prakat karate haian, ve danthal se pake hue phaloan ki bhaanti niche girate haian. yadi vriksh akela hai to vah balavan, dridhamool tatha bahut b da hone par bhi ek hi kshan mean aandhi ke dvara balapoorvak shakhaoan sahit dharashayi kiya ja sakata hai. kiantu jo bahut-se vriksh ek sath rahakar samooh ke roop mean kh de haian, ve ek-doosare ke sahare b di-se-b di aandhi ko bhi sah sakate haian.[5]

isi prakar samash‍t gunoan se samh‍panh‍n manushh‍y ko bhi akele hone par shatru apani shakti ke aandar samajhate haian, jaise akele vriksh ko vayu. kiantu parash‍par mel hone se aur ek se doosare ko sahara milane se jati vale log is prakar vriddhi ko praph‍t hote haian, jaise talab mean kamal. brahman, gau, kutumh‍bi, balak, sh‍tri, anh‍nadata aur sharanagat- ye avadhh‍y hote haian. rajan! apaka kalh‍yan ho, manushh‍y mean dhan aur arogh‍y ko chho dakar doosara koee gun nahian hai; kh‍yoanki rogi to murde ke saman hai. maharaj! jo bina rog ke uth‍panh‍n, k dava, sir mean dard paida karane vala, pap se samh‍baddh, kathor, tikha aur garam hai, jo sajh‍janoan dvara pan karane yogh‍y hai aur jise durjan nahian pi sakate- us krodh ko ap pi jaiye aur shaant hoiye. rog se pi‍ dit manushy madhur phaloan ka adar nahian karate, vishayoan mean bhi unh‍hean kuchh sukh ya sar nahian milata. rogi sada hi dukhi rahate haian; ve n to dhan sanbandhi bhogoan ka aur n sukh ka hi anubhav karate haian. rajan! pahale jooe mean draupadi ko jiti gayi dekhakar maianne apase kaha tha- ‘ap dyootakri da mean asakh‍t duryodhan ko rokiye, vidvan log is pravanchana ke liye mana karate haian.' kiantu apane mera kahana nahian mana. vah bal nahian, jisaka mridul sh‍vabhav ke sath virodh ho; sookshh‍m dharm ka shighr hi sevan karana chahiye. krooratapoorvak uparjit lakshmi nashvar hoti hai, yadi vah mridulatapoorvak badhayi gayi ho to putr-pautroan tak sthir rahati hai. rajan! apake putr panh‍davoan ki raksha karean aur panh‍du ke putr apake putroan ki raksha karean. sabhi kaurav ek-doosare ke shatru ko shatru aur mitr ko mitr samajhe. sabaka ek hi kartavh‍y ho, sabhi sukhi aur samriddhishali hokar jivan vh‍yatit karean. ajamidhakulanandan! is samay ap hi kauravoan ke adhar-sh‍tamh‍bh haian, kuruvansh apake hi adhin hai. tat! kuanti ke putr abhi balak haian aur vanavas se bahut kashh‍t pa chuke haian; is samay unaka palan karake apane yash ki raksha kijiye. kururaj! ap panh‍davoan se sandhi kar lean, jisase shatruoan ko apaka chhidr dekhane ka avasar n mile. naradev! samash‍t panh‍dav sath‍y par date hue haian; ab ap apane putr duryodhan ko rokiye.[7]
