sab vastuoan aur praniyoan ka rahasyamay janak sarvochch jnan

   
20.gunanetanatity trindehi dehasamuddhavanh.
janmamrityujaraduah khairvimuktoamritamashnute॥

jab shariradhari atma sharir se utpann hone vale in tin gunoan se oopar uth jati hai, tab vah janm, maran, vriddhavastha aur duahkhoan se mukt ho jati hai aur use shashvat jivan prapt ho jata hai. dehasamudbhavanh: isamean yah arth nihit hai ki gun sharir ke karan utpann hote haian. ’’ye ve bij haian, jinamean se sharir vikasit hota hai.’’ - shankarachary.[1] sattvik achchhaee bhi apoorn hai, kyoanki is achchhaee ke lie bhi isake virodh ke sath sangharsh ki shart lagi huee. jyoanhi vah achchhaee nahian rahati aur vah sab naitik badhaoan se oopar uth jati hai. sattv ki prakriti ka vikas karane ke dvara ham usase oopar uth jate haian aur lokatit jnan ko prapt karate haian.[2] jo trigunatit hai, usaki visheshataean

arjun ne kaha: he prabhu, jo in tin gunoan se oopar uth jata hai, usaki kya pahachan hoti hai? usaka rahan-sahan kaisa hota hai? vah in tinoan gunoan se pare kis prakar pahuanchata hai?jivanmukt ki, jo vyakti vartaman jivan mean hi poornata ko prapt kar chuka hai, usaki kya visheshataean hoti haian? ye visheshataean bahut kuchh vahi haian, jo sthit-prajn ki haian (2, 25 se age) aur jo bhakt ki haian, (12, 13 se age).isase yah spasht hai ki poornata ki visheshataean ek-si hi haian, chahe us poornata ko kisi bhi prakar prapt kar liya jae.

22.prakashan ch pravrittian ch mohamev ch pandav.
n dveshti sanpravrittani n nivrittani kadkshati॥

shri bhagavanh ne kaha:he pandav (arjun), jo vyakti prakash, gatividh aur moodhata ke utpann hone par unhean bura nahian manata aur jab ve n hoan, tab unake lie ichchha nahian karata;

23.udasinavadasino gunairyo n vichalyate.
guna vartant ityev yoavishthati negante॥

jo udasin (nisprih ya tatasth) ki bhaanti gunoan dvara vichalit n hota hua baitha rahata hai, jo yah samajhata hua, ki keval gun hi karm kar rahe haian, avichilit bhav se alag rahata hai; vah prakriti ke parivartanoan ko dekhata hai, parantu unamean ulajhata nahian. gunoan ka vishuddh prakash, divy gatividhi aur poorn shanti ke roop mean unnayan kiya jata hai.

24.samaduahkhasukhah svasthah samaloshtashmakachchanah.
tulyapriyapriyo dhirestulyanindatmasanstutiah॥

jo sukh aur duahkh ko saman samajhata hai, jo apane atma mean hi sthiti rahata hai, jo mitti ke dhele, patthar aur svarnakhand ko saman samajhata hai, jo priy aur apriy vastuoan mean ek-sa rahata hai,jisaka man sthitar hai aur jo ninda aur stuti ko ek jaisa samajhata hai;

25.manapamanayostulyastulyo mitraripakshayoah.
sarvarambhaparityagi gunatitah s uchyate॥

jo man aur apaman se saman rahata hai aur jo mitroan aur shatruoan ke prati ek-sa hai aur jisane sab karmoan ka parityag kar diya hai, use gunatit arthath gunoan se oopar utha hua kaha jata hai.

26.maan ch yoavyabhicharen bhaktiyogen sevate.
s gunansamatityaitanbrahmabhooyay kalpate॥

jo anany bhaktiyog se meri seva karata hai, vah tinoan gunoan se oopar uth jata hai aur vah brahm ban jane ke yogy ho jata hai,vah mukti ke upayukt ho jata hai.

27.brahmano hi pratishthahamamritasyavyayasy ch .
shashvatasy ch dharmasy sukhasyaikantikasy ch॥

(kyoanki) maian amar aur anashvar brahm ka, shashvat dharm aur param anand ka nivas-sthan hooan.yahaan par vyaktik eeshvar ko parabrahm ka adhar bataya gaya hai. shankarachary ne isaka arth yah nikala hai ki parameshvar is arth mean brahm hai ki vah brahm ka vyakt roop hai. brahm apane bhaktoan par apani karuna eeshvar-bhakti ke dvara dikhata hai aur vah parameshvar vyakt shakti hai aur isalie vah svayan brahm hi hai. shankarachary ne ek aur vaikalpik vyakhya bhi prastut ki hai: brahm vyaktik eeshvar hai aur is shlok ka arth hai, ’’maian jo ki anirdeshy aur anirvachaniy hooan, us nirdisht brahm ka nivas- sthan hooan, jo ki amar aur avinashy hai.’’ nilakanth ne brahm ka arth ved mana hai. ramanuj ne brahm ki vyakhya mukt atma ke roop mean aur madhv ne maya ke roop mean ki hai. madhusoodann ne ise vyaktik eeshvar mana hai krishn ne apane-ap ko param, anirdisht brahm ke sath tadroop kar liya hai. iti ... gunatrayavibhagayogo nam chaturdashoadhyayah. yah hai ’tinoan gunoan ke vibhed ka yog’ namak chaudahavaan adhyay.
