1.mayyasaktamanaah parth yogan yujjanmadashrayah .
asanshayan samagran maan yatha jnasyasi tachchhrinu॥

shri bhagavanh ne kaha: he arjun, ab yah sun ki yog ka abhyas karata hua, apane chitt ko mujhamean lagakar aur mujhi ko ashray manakar asandigdh-roop se too poori tarah mujhako kis prakar janega? lekhak brahm ka poorn ya samagr jnan dena chahata hai; keval vishuddh atma ka nahian, apitu sansar mean usake prakat-roop ka bhi.

2.jnanan teahan savijnanamidan vakshyamyasheshatah .
yajjnatva neh bhooyaanyajjnatavyamavashishyate॥

maian tujhe yah sara jnan vijnanasahit poori tarah bataooanga, jise jan lene ke bad janane ko aur kuchh shesh nahian bachega. dekhie, 3, 4. ki tippani. jnan ki vyakhya bodh ke roop mean,pratyaksh adhyatmik prabodhan ke roop mean ki gee hai aur vijnan ki vyakhya astitv ke siddhantoan ke vistrit buddhisangat jnan ke roop mean. hamean keval sambandh-rahit parabrahm ka hi jnan nahian hona chahie, apitu usake vividh prakat-roopoan ka bhi jnan hona chahie. bhagavanh manushy aur prakriti mean hai, halaanki ye use simit nahian kar dete.

3.manushyanaan sahasreshu kashchidyatati siddhaye.
yatatamapi siddhanaan kashchinmaan tattvatah॥

hajaroan manushyoan mean se koee ek is yog ki siddhi ke lie yatn karata hai; aur jo log yatn karate haian aur siddhi pa lete haian, unamean se bhi mushkil se koee ek mujhe sachche roop mean jan pata hai. ek aur path hai- yatataan ch sahasranamh: ’’aur hajaroan yatn karane valoan mean se.’’ hamamean se adhikash log poornata prapt karane ki avashyakata tak anubhav nahian karate. ham paramparaoan aur pradhikaroan ki avaj ke sath-sath chalate jate haian. jo log saty ko dekhane aur lakshy tak pahuanchane ka prayatn karate haian, unamean se keval thode़-se hi saphal ho pate haian. jin logoan ko aisi drishti prapt ho bhi jati hai, unamean se ek bhi us drishti ke anusar chalana aur jina nahian sikh pata.

4.bhoomirapoanalo vayuah khan mano buddhirev ch .
aanhakar itiyan me bhinna prakritirashtadha ॥

prithvi, jal, agni, vayu, akash, man aur buddhi aur ahankar- meri prakriti in ath roopoan mean banti huee hai.prakriti:: prakriti, jise shakti ya maya mana gaya hai [1], jo vastu-roopatmak jagath ka adhar hai. [2] ye ve ath roop haian, jinhean avyakt prakriti vyakt hote samay dharan karati hai. yah ek prachin vargikaran hai, jo bad mean jakar chaubis tattvoan ke roop mean aur vishad kar diya gaya hai. dekhie 13, 5. indriyoan, man aur buddhi ka sambandh nimnatar ya bhautik prakriti se hai; kyoanki saankhy manovijnan ke anusar jise vedant ne bhi svikar kiya hai, ve vastuoan ke sath sampark sthapit karati haian aur chetana keval tab utpann hoti hai, jabaki atmik karta, purush, unhean prabodhit karata hai. jab atma prabuddh ho jati hai, tab indriyoan, man aur buddhi ki gatividhiyaan jnan ki prakriya ban jati haian aur vastuean jnan ka vishay ban jati haian. ahankar ya ahan ki bhavana ’vastu-roopatmak’ paksh mean ati hai. yah vah mool tattv hai, jisake dvara jiv vastuoan ke sath apana sambandh sthapit karata hai. yah (ahankar) apane sath sanyukt hue sharir aur indriyoan ka apane oopar aropan kar leta hai. yah sharir ki atmik karta ke sath ek mithya ekatmata utpann kar deta hai aur isake karan ’maian’ ya ’mera’ ki bhavana utpann ho jati hai.
