yatharth prem se hi kam ka nash ho jata hai. yadyapi premi apane premaspad ko sukh pahuanchane ki ichchha ko kamana hi manata hai aur samast indriyaan, man evan buddhi ekamatr prem mukhi hone se use kamana hi kahate haian; parantu vah shuddh prem yatharth mean kam nahian hai. gautamiy tantr mean kaha gaya hai-
premaiv goparamanaan kam ityagamath prathamh.

‘gopiyoan ke prem ka nam ‘kam’ hone par bhi vah asal mean ‘kam’ nahian, balki shuddh prem hai. mahan bhagavadbhakt uddhav-sarikhe mahatma isi ‘kam’ namak prem ki abhilasha karate haian.’ kyoanki gopiyoan mean nijendriy sukh ki ichchha hai hi nahian. ve to shri bhagavan ko bhagavan samajh kar hi apane sakal aangoan ko arpan kar unhean sukhi karana chahati haian. shri chaitanyacharitamrit mean in vishayasakti shoony shrikrishnagataprana gopiyoan ke sambandh mean kaha hai-
nijendriy-sukh-hetu kamer tatpary,
krishnasukh tatpary gopibhavavary.
nijendriy-sukh-vanchha nahe gopikar,
krishn-sukh-hetu kare sangam bihar..
atm-sukh-duahkh gopi na kare vichar,
krishn-sukh-hetu kare sab vyavahar.
krishn bina ar sab kari parityag,
krishn-sukh-hetu kare shuddh anurag..

apana tan, man, dhan, roop, yauvan aur lok-paralok-sabako shrikrishn ki sukh samagri samajhakar shrikrishn sukh ke liye shuddh anurag karana hi pavitr gopi bhav hai. is gopi bhav mean madhur ras ki pradhanata hai. ras paanch haian - shant, dasy, sakhy, vatsaly aur madhury. laukik aur eeshvariy divy bhed se ye paanchoan ras do prakar ke haian, arthat laukik prem bhi uparyukt paanch prakar ka hai aur divy prem bhi paanch prakar ka hai. parantu in paanchoan mean madhur ras - kanta prem sabase ooancha hai; kyoanki isamean shant, dasy, sakhy, vatsaly - ye charoan hi ras vidyaman haian. yah adhik gun sampann hone se adhik svadisht hai, isiliye isaka nam ‘madhur’ hai. isi prakar divy prem mean bhi kanta prem - madhur ras hi sarv pradhan hai. shant aur dasy ras mean bhagavan aishvaryashali haian, maian din hooan; bhagavan svami haian, maian sevak hooan - aisa bhav rahata hai. isamean kuchh alagav-sa hai, bhay hai aur sankoch hai; parantu sakhy, vatsaly aur madhury mean kramashah bhagavan adhikadhik nij jan haian, apane pyare haian, priyatam haian; inamean bhagavan aishvary ko bhula kar, vibhooti ko chhipa kar sakha, putr ya kant roop se bhakt ke samane sada prakat rahate haian, in rasoan mean prarthana-kamana hai hi nahian. apane nij-jan se prarthana kaisi? usaka sab kuchh apana hi to hai! inamean bhi kanta bhav sarv pradhan hai. kanta bhav mean pichhale donoan rasoan ka - sakhy aur vatsaly ka poorn samavesh hai. yahaan bhagavan ki seva khoob hoti hai, itani hoti hai ki seva karane vala bhakt kabhi thakata hi nahian; kyoanki yah malik ki seva nahian hai, priyatam ki seva hai. priyatam ke sukhi hone mean hi apar sukh hai, jitana sukh pahuanche, utana hi tho da; kyoanki priyatam ko jitana adhik sukh pahuanchata hai, utana hi apar sukh ka anubhav priyatama ko hota hai.
