saraansh, avh‍yakh‍topasana ki drishti se jnan ek bar sadhan ho sakata hai, aur doosari bar brahmath‍maikh‍y ke aparokshanubhav ki drishti se usi jnan ko nishh‍tha yani siddhavash‍tha ki aanntim sthiti kah sakate haian. jab ham bhed ko pragat roop se dikhalane ki avashh‍kayata hoti hai, tab ‘jnanamarg’ aur ‘jnananishh‍tha’ donoan shabh‍doan ka upayog saman arth mean nahian kiya jata; kinh‍tu avh‍yakh‍topasana ki sadhanavasthavali sthiti dikhalane ke liye jnanamarg shabh‍d ka upayog kiya jata hai, aur jnan prapti ke anantar sab karmoan ko chho d jnan hi mean nimagh‍n ho jane ki jo siddhavash‍tha ki sthiti hai usake liye ‘jnananishh‍tha‘ shabh‍d ka upayog kiya jata hai. arthath, avh‍yakh‍topasana ya adhh‍yath‍m vichar ke arth mean jnan ko ek bar sadhan ( jnanamarg ) kah sakate haian, aur doosari bar aparokshanubhav ke arth mean usi jnan ko nishh‍tha yani karmath‍yag roopi aantim avash‍tha kah sakate haian. yahi bat karm ke vishay mean bhi kahi ja sakati hai. shash‍trokh‍t maryada ke anusar jo karm pahale chith‍t ki shuddhi ke liye kiya jata hai vah sadhan kahalata hai. is karm se chith‍t ki shuddhi hoti hai aur anh‍t mean jnan tatha shanti ki prapti hoti hai; paranh‍tu yadi koee manushh‍y is jnan mean hi nimagh‍n n rahakar shaantipoorvak mrith‍yuparyanh‍t nishh‍kam-karm karata chala jave, to jnanayukh‍t nishh‍kam karm ki drishti se usake is karm ko nishtha kah sakate haian (gi. 3. 3 ).

yah bat bhakti ke vishay mean nahian kah sakate kh‍yoanki bhakti sirph, ek marg ya upay arthath jnan prapti ka sadhan hi hai-vah nishh‍tha nahian hai. isaliye gita ke aramh‍bh mean jnan ( saankhh‍y ) aur yog ( karm ) yahi do nishh‍thaean kahi gayi haian unamean se karm-yog-nishh‍tha ki siddhi ke upay, sadhan, vidhi ya marg ka vichar karate samay[1], avh‍yakh‍topasana ( jnanamarg ) aur vh‍yakh‍topasana ( bhaktimarg ) ka- arthath jo do sadhan prachin samay se ek sath chale a rahe haian unaka-varnan karake, gita mean sirf itana hi kaha hai ki in donoan sadhanoan mean se avh‍yakh‍topasana bahut kleshamay hai aur vh‍yakh‍topasana ya bhakti adhik sulabh hai, yani is sadhan ka sh‍vikar sab sadharan log kar sakate haian. prachin upanishadoan mean jnan-marg hi ka vichar kiya gaya haian aur shandilh‍y adi sootroan mean tatha bhagavat adi granh‍thoan mean bhakti-marg hi ki mahima gaee gee hai. paranh‍tu sadhan-drishti se jnanamarg aur bhakti-marg mean yogh‍yatanusar bhed dikhalakar anh‍t mean in donoan ka mel nishh‍kam-karm ke sath jaisa gita ne sam-buddhi se kiya hai, vaisa anh‍y kisi bhi prachin dharm-granh‍th ne nahian kiya hai. eeshh‍var ke sh‍varoop ka yah yatharth aur anubhavath‍mak jnan hone ke liye, ki ‘sab praniyoan mean ek hi parameshh‍var hai,’ dehendriyadhari manushh‍y ko kh‍ya karana chahiye?
