is brihadaranh‍yakopanishad mean hi janak raja ki katha hai, aur usi janak ka drishh‍tanh‍t karmayog ke samarthan ke liye bhagavanh ne gita mean liya hai[1]. isase eeshavash‍y ka, aur bhagavadgita ke karmayog ka jo samh‍banh‍dh hamane oopar dikhalaya hai, vahi adhik dridh aur ni:sanshay siddh hota hai. paranh‍tu jinaka samh‍pradayik siddhanh‍t aisa hai, ki sabhi upanishadoan mean moksh prapti ka ek hi marg pratipady hai-aur vah bhi vairagh‍y ka ya sannh‍yas ka hi hai, upanishadoan mean do-do margoan ka pratipadit hona shakh‍y nahian,-unh‍hean eeshavash‍yopanishad ke sh‍pashh‍tarth mantroan ki bhi khianchatani kar kisi prakar nirala arth lagana p data hai. aisa n karean, to ye manh‍tr unake samh‍praday ke pratikool hote haian, aur aisa hone dena unh‍hean ishh‍t nahian. isiliye gh‍yaharavean manh‍tr par ‘upasana kiya gaya hai. kuchh yah nahian, ki vidya shabh‍d ka arth upasana n hota ho. shandilh‍yavidya prabhriti sh‍thanoan mean usaka arth upasana hi hota hai; par vah mukhh‍y arth nahian hai. yah bhi nahian, ki shrishankarachary ke dhh‍yan mean yah bat aee n hogi ya aee n thi; aur to kh‍ya, usaka dhh‍yan mean n ana shakh‍y hi n tha. doosare upanishadoan mean bhi aise vachan haian-‘’vidyaya vinh‍dateamritamh’’[2], athava ‘’pranash‍yashyath‍m vijayamritamashh‍nute ‘’[3].

maitryupanishad ke satavean prapathak m ‘’vidyaan cha’ vidyaan ch’’ i0 eeshavash‍y ka ullikhit gh‍yarahavaan manh‍tr hi aksharash: le liya hai; aur usase sat kar hi, usake poorv mean kath. 2.5 ye mantr diye haian arthath ye tinoan mantr ek hi sh‍than par ek ke pashh‍chat ek diye gaye haian aur bichala mantr eeshavash‍y ka hai. tinoan mean ‘vidya’ shabh‍d vartaman hai isaliye kathopanishad mean vidya shabh‍d ka jo arth hai, vahi ( jnan ) arth eeshavash‍y mean bhi lena chahiye-maitrayupanishad ka aisa hi abhipray pragat hota hai. paranh‍tu eeshavash‍y ke shaankarabhashh‍y mean kaha hai, ki ‘’yadi vidya=ath‍majnan aur amrit=moksh, aise arth hi eeshavash‍y ke gh‍yarahavean manh‍tr mean le lean, to kahana hoga ki jnan (vidya) aur karm (avidya ka samuchh‍chay is upanishad mean varnit hai; paranh‍tu jabaki yah samuchh‍chay nh‍yay se yukh‍t nahian hai, tab vidya=devopasana aur amrit=devalok, yah gaun arth hi is sh‍than par lena chahiye.’’ saraansh, pragat hai ki ‘’jnan hone par sannh‍yas le lena chahiye, karm nahian karana chahiye; kh‍yoanki jnan aur karm ka samuchh‍chay kabhi bhi nh‍yayy nahian’’-shaankar samh‍praday ke is mukhh‍y siddhanh‍t ke viruddh eeshavash‍y ka mantr n hone pave, isaliye vidya shabh‍d ka gaun arth sh‍vikar kar, samash‍t shrutivachanoan ki apane samh‍praday ke anuroop ekavakh‍yata karane ke liye, shaankarabhashh‍y mean eeshavash‍y ke gh‍yarahavean mantr ka oopar likhe anusar arth kiya gaya hai.
