jnan aur kamh‍y karm ke bich yadi virodh ho, to bhi jnan aur nishh‍kam-karm mean koee virodh nahian; isi liye gita ka kathan hai, ki nishh‍kam-buddhi se sab karm sarvada karate raho, unh‍hean kabhi mat chho do ab in charoan mateaan ki tulana karane se dekh p dega, ki jnan hone ke pahale karm ki avashh‍yakata sabhi ko manh‍y hai; paranh‍tu unapanishadoan aur gita ka kathan hai, ki aisi sthiti mean shraddha se kiye hue karm ka phal sh‍varg ke siva doosara kuchh nahian hota. isake age, arthath jnan-prapti ho chukane par karm kiye javean ya nahian–is vishay mean, upanishath‍karth‍taoan mean bhi matabhed hai. kee ek upanishath‍karth‍taoan ka mat hai ki jnan se samash‍t kamh‍y buddhi ka nh‍has ho chukane par jo manushh‍y moksh ka adhikari ho gaya hai, use keval sh‍varg ki prapti kara denevale kamh‍y karm karane ka kuchh bhi prayojan nahian rahata; paranh‍tu eeshavash‍y adi doosare kee ek upanishadoan mean pratipadan kiya gaya hai, ki mrith‍yulok ke vh‍yavaharoan ko jari rakhane ke liye karm karana hi chahiye. yah pragat hai, ki upanishadoan mean varnit in do margoan mean se, doosara marg hi gita mean pratipadit hai[1]. paranh‍tu yadyapi yah kahean ki moksh ke adhikari jnani purush ko nishh‍kam buddhi se lokasangraharth sab vh‍yavahar karana chahiye; tathapi is sh‍than par yah prashh‍n ap hi hota hai, ki jin[2] yajn-yag adi karmoan ka phal sh‍varg-prapti ke siva doosara kuchh nahian, unh‍hean vah karean hi kh‍yoan?

isi se atharahavean adhh‍yay ke aramh‍bh mean isi prashh‍n ko utha kar bhagavanh ne sh‍pashh‍t nirnay kar diya hai, ki ‘’yajn, dan, tap’’ adi karm sadaiv chith‍tashuddhi- karak haian arthath nishh‍kam-buddhi upajane aur badhane vale haian; isaliye ‘inh‍he bhi’ ( etanh‍yapi ) anh‍y nishh‍kam karmoan ke samh‍man lokasangraharth jnani purush ko phalasha aur sang chho dakar sada karate rahana chahiye[3]. parameshh‍var ko arpan kar is prakar sab karm nishh‍kam-buddhi se karate rahane se, vh‍yapak arth mean, yahi ek b da bhari yajn ho jata hai; aur phir is yajn ke liye jo karm kiya jata hai vah banh‍dhak nahian hota[4], kinh‍tu sabhi kam nishh‍kam-buddhi se karane ke karan yajn se jo sh‍varg-prapti roop banh‍dhak phal milane vala tha vah bhi nahian milata aur ye sab kam moksh ke a de a nahian sakate saraansh mimaansakoan ka karm-kanh‍d yadi gita mean qayam rakha gaya ho, to vah is riti se rakha gaya hai ki usase sh‍varg ka ana jana chhoot jata hai aur sabhi karm nishh‍kam buddhi se karane ke karan anh‍t mean moksh-prapti hue bina nahian rahati. dhh‍yan rakhana chahiye, ki mimaansako ke karmamarg aur gita ke karmayog mean yahi mahath‍v ka bhed hai-donoan ek nahian haian.
