is prakar gita[1] mean batalaya gaya hai ki ‘’shanai: shanai:’’ abhh‍yas karane par chit sthir ho jata hai, indriyaan vash mean ho jati haian aur age kuchh samay ke bad ( ekadam nahian ) brahmath‍maikh‍y jnan hota hai, evan phir ‘’ath‍mavanh‍tan n karmani nibaghh‍nanti dhananjay’’–us jnan se karm-banh‍dhan chhoot jata hai[2] paranh‍tu bhagavan ekanh‍t mean yogabhh‍yas karane ka upadesh dete hai[3], isase gita ka tath‍pary yah nahian samajh lena chahiye ki sansar ke sab vh‍yavaharoan ko chho d kar yogabhh‍yas mean hi sari ayu bita di jave. jis prakar koee vh‍yapari apane pas ki pooanji se hi– chahe vah bahut tho di hi kh‍yoan n ho– pahale dhire dhire vh‍yapar karane lagata hai aur usake dvara anh‍t mean apar sanpati kama leta hai, usi prakar gita ke karmayog ka bhi hal hai. apane se jitana ho sakata hai utana hi indriy nigrah karake pahale karmayog shuroo karana chahiye aur isi ke anh‍t mean adhikadhik indriy nigrah samarthh‍y praph‍t ho jata hai; tathapi chaurahe mean baith kar bhi yogabhh‍yas karane se kam nahi chal sakata, kh‍yoanki isase buddhi ko ekagrata ki jo adat huee hogi. usake ghat jane ka bhay hota hai.

isaliye karmayog ka nith‍y acharan karate hue kuchh samay tak hamesha ya kabhi kabhi ekaant ka sevan karana bhi avashh‍yak hai[4]. isake liye sansar ke samash‍t vh‍yavaharoan ko nishh‍kam-buddhi se karane ke liye hi indriy nigrah ka abhh‍yas batalaya gaya hai; aur gita ka yahi kathan hai ki is indriy-nigrah ke sath sath yathashakti nishh‍kam karmayog ka bhi acharan prath‍yek manushh‍y ko hamesha karate rahana chahiye. maitryupanishad mean aur mahabharat mean kaha gaya hai ki yadi koee manushh‍y buddhiman aur nigrahi ho, to vah is prakar ke yogabhh‍yas se chh: mahine mean samh‍yabuddhi praph‍t kar sakata hai[5]. paranh‍tu bhagavan ne jis sattvik, sam ya ath‍manshthi ka varnan kiya hai, vah bahutere logo ko chh: mahine mean kh‍ya, chh: varsh mean bhi praph‍t nahian ho sakati; aur is abhh‍yas ke apoorna rah jane ke karan is janh‍m mean to poori siddhi hogi hi nahian, paranh‍tu doosara janh‍m le kar phir bhi pahale se vahi abhh‍yas karana p dega aur is janh‍m ka abhh‍yas bhi poorvajanh‍m ke abhh‍yas ki bhaanti adhoora rah jayaga, isaliye yah shanka uth‍panh‍n hoti hai ki aise manushh‍y ko poorn siddhi kabhi mil hi nahian sakati; phalat: aisa bhi maloom hone lagata hai ki karmayog ka acharan karane ke poorv patanjal yog ki sahayata se poorn nirvikalh‍p samadhi lagana pahale sikh lena chahiye.
