banh‍dhan mean p dane ke karan ath‍ma ke dvara indriyoan ko milane vali sh‍vatanh‍tr prerana mean aur brahmasrishti se padarthoan ke sanyog se indriyoan mean uth‍panh‍n hone vali prerana mean bahut bhinh‍nata hai. khana, pina, chain karana–ye sab indriyoan ki preranaean haian; aur ath‍ma ki prerana mokshanukool karm karane ke liye hua karati haian. pahali prerana keval bahy arthat karm-srishti ki hai; paranh‍tu doosari prerana ath‍ma ki arthat brahm-srishti ki hai; aur ye donoan preranayan pray: parash‍par‍-virodhi haian jisase inake jhag de ke samay jab man mean sanh‍deh uth‍panh‍n hota hai tab karm-srishti ki prerana ko n man kar[1] yadi manushh‍y shuddhath‍ma ki sh‍vatanh‍tr prerana ke anusar chalane lage–aur isi ko sachh‍cha ath‍majnan ya sachh‍chi ath‍manishh‍tha kahate haian–to usake sab vh‍yavahar sh‍vabhavat: mokshanukool hi hoange; aur anh‍t mean–

vishuddhadharma shuddhen buddhen ch s buddhimanh .
vimalath‍ma ch bhavati sameth‍y vimalath‍mana .
sh‍vatanh‍trashch sh‍vatanh‍tren sh‍vatanh‍trath‍vamavaph‍nute ..

‘’vah jivath‍ma ya sharir ath‍ma, jo mool mean sh‍vatanh‍tr hai, aise paramath‍ma mean mil jata hai jo nith‍y, shuddh, buddh, nirmal aur sh‍vatanh‍tr hai‘’[2]. oopar jo kaha gaya hai ki jnan se moksh milata hai, usaka yahi arth hai. isake viparit jab j d dehendriyoan ke prakrit dharm ki arthat karm-srishti ki prerana ki prabalata ho jati hai, tab manushh‍y ki adhogati hoti hai sharir mean bandhe hue jivath‍ma mean, dehendriyo se mokshanukool karm karane ki tatha brahmath‍maikh‍y-jnan se moksh praph‍t kar lene ki jo yah sh‍vatanh‍tr shakti hai, isaki or dhh‍yan de kar hi bhagavan ne arjun ka ath‍m-sh‍vatanh‍tray arthat sh‍vavalamh‍ban ke tath‍v ka upadesh kiya hai ki:-

uddharedath‍manaaath‍manan nath‍manamavasadayeth.
ath‍maiv hyath‍mano banh‍dhurath‍maiv ripurath‍man: ..

‘’manushh‍y ko chahiye ki vah apana uddhar sh‍vayan kare; vah apani avanati ap hi n kare; kh‍yoanki prath‍yek manushh‍y sh‍vany apana banh‍dhu ( hitakari ) hai aur sh‍vany apana shatru ( nashakarta ) hai ‘’[3] aur isi hetu se yogavasishth[4] mean dev ka nirakaran karake paurush ke mahath‍v ka vish‍tarapoorvak varnan kiya gaya hai. jo manushh‍y is tattv ko pahachan kar acharan kiya karata hai ki sab praniyoan mean ek hi ath‍ma hai, usi ke acharan ka sadacharan ya mokshanukool acharan kahate haian; aur jivath‍ma ka bhi yahi sh‍vatanh‍tr dharm hai ki aise acharan ki or dehendriyoan ka pravrit kiya kare. isi dharm ke karan durachari manushh‍y ka anh‍t:karan bhi sadachar hi ki taraphadari kiya karata hai jisase use apane kiye hue dushh‍karmoan ka pashh‍chatap hota hai.
