isake siva gita mean anek sh‍thaloan par yah bhi batalaya gaya hai, ki jab tak sharir hai tab tak shh‍vasochh‍chhavas, sona, baithana ith‍yadi karm hote hi rahate haian, isaliye sab karmoan ko chho d dene ke agrah bhi vh‍yarth hi haian– yatharth mean, is sansar mean koee kshan bhar ke liye bhi karm karana chho d nahian sakata [1]. karm chahe bhala ho ya bura, paranh‍tu usaka phal bhogane ke liye manushh‍y ko ek n ek janh‍m le kar hamesha taiyar rahana hi chahiye; karm anadi hai aur usake akhannh‍d vh‍yapar mean parameshh‍var bhi hash‍takshep nahi karata; sab karmoan ko chho d dena samh‍bhav nahi hai; aur mimaansakoan ke kathananusar kuchh karmoan ko karane se aur kuchh karmoan ko chho d dene se bhi karm-bandhan se chhutakara nahian mil sakata– ith‍yadi batoan ke siddh ho jane par yah pahala prashh‍n phir bhi hota hai, ki karmath‍mak nam-roop ke vinashi chakr se chhoot jane evan usake mool mean rahanevale amrit tatha avinashi tattv mean mil jane ki manushh‍y ko jo sh‍vabhavik ichh‍chha hoti hai, usaki triph‍ti karane ka kaun sa marg hai़?

ved aur sh‍mriti-granthoan mean yajn-yag adi paralaukik kalh‍yan ke anek sadhanoan ka varnan hai, paranh‍tu mokshashash‍tr ki drishti se ye sab kanishh‍th shreni ke haian; kh‍yoanki yajn-yan adi punh‍y-karmoan ke dvara sh‍vargapraph‍ti to ho jati hai, paranh‍tu jab in punh‍y–karmoan ke phaloan ka anh‍t ho jata hai tab–chahe dirghakal mean bhi kh‍yoan n ho–kabhi n kabhi is karm-bhoomi mean phir laut kar ana hi p data hai[2]. isase sh‍pashh‍t ho jata hai ki karm ke panje se bilakul chhoot kar amritath‍v mean mil jane ka aur janh‍m–maran ke jhanjhat ko sada ke liye door kar dene ka yah sachh‍cha marg nahian hai. is jhanjhat ko door karane ka arthat moksh-prapti ka adhh‍yath‍mashash‍tr ke kathananusar ‘jnan ‘hi ek sachh‍cha marg hai. ‘jnan’ shabh‍d ka arth vh‍yavahar-jnan ya nam-roopath‍mak srishtishash‍tr ka jnan nahi hai; kinh‍tu yahaan usaka arth brahamath‍maikh‍y jnan hai. isi ko ‘vidha ’ bhi kahate hai; aur is prakaran ke aramh‍bh mean ‘karmana badhh‍yate janh‍tu: vidyaya tu prabhuchh‍yate ‘–karm se hi prani baandha jata hai aur vidya se usaka chhutakara hota hai – yah jo vachan diya gaya hai usamean ‘vidya’ ka arthajnan hi vi‍vakshit hai. bhagavan ne arjun se kaha hai ki:-

jnanagin: sarvakarmani bhash‍masash‍kurutearjun.

‘’jnan-roopi agni se sab karm bhash‍m ho jate hai ‘’[3] aur do sh‍thaloan par mahabharat mean bhi kaha gaya hai ki:-
