atev itana man kar hi age chalana p data hai, ki jab se ham dekhate aye tab se nirgun brahm ke sath hi nam- roopatmak vinashi karm athava sagun maya hamean driggochar hoti aee hai. isi liye vedaantasootr mean kaha hai ki mayatmak karm anadi hai[1]; aur bhagavadgita mean bhi bhagavan ne pahale yah varnan karake ki prakriti svatantr nahian hai- ‘meri hi maya hai’[2], phir age kaha hai ki prakriti arthat maya, aur purush, donoan ‘anadi’ haian[3]. isi tarah shrishankarachary ne apane bhashy mean maya ka lakshan dete hue hai ki “sarvajne- shvarasyaaasmabhoote ivaavidyakalpite namaroope tattvanyatvabhyamanirvachaniye sansar- prapanchabijabhoote sarvajnasyeshvarasy ‘maya’ ‘shakti:’ ‘prakriti' riti ch shrutismrityorabhilapyite”[4]. isaka bhavarth yah hai – “(indriyoan ke) ajnan se mool brahm mean kalpit kiye hue nam-roop ko hi shruti aur smriti-granthoan mean sarvajn parameshvar ke atmabhoot se jan p data haian, parantu inake j d hone ke karan yah nahian kaha ja sakata ki ye parabrahm se bhinn haian ya abhinn ( tattvanyatv ), aur yahi j d srishti (drishy) ke vistar ke mool haian;” aur “is maya ke yog se hi yah srishti parameshvar nirmit dekh p dati hai, is karan yah maya chahe vinashi ho, tathapi drishy-srishti ki utpatti ke liye avashyak aur atyant upayukt hai tatha isi ko upanishadoan mean avyakt, akash, akshar ityadi nam diye gaye haian”[5].

isase dekh p dega ki chinmay (purush) aur achetan maya (prakriti) in donoan tattvoan ko saankhy-vadi svayanbhoo, svatantr aur anadi manate haian; par maya ka anaditv yadyapi vedaanti ek tarah se svikar karate haian, tathapi yah unhean many nahian ki maya svayanbhoo aur svatantr hai; aur isi karan sansaratmak maya ka vriksharoop se varnan karate samay gita[6] mean kaha gaya hai ki ‘n roopamasyeh tathopalabhyate naanto n chadirn ch sanpratishtha,- is sansar-vriksh ka roop, aant adi, mool athava thaur nahian milata. isi prakar tisare adhyay mean jo aise varnan haian ki ‘karm brahmodbhavan viddhi’[7] – brahm se karm utpann hua; ‘yajn: karm-samudbhav:’[8]– yajn bhi karm se hi utpann hota hai, athava ‘sah yajna: praja: srishtava’[9]–brahmadev ne praja (srishti), yajn (karm) donoan ko sath hi nirman kiya; in sab ka tatpary bhi yahi hai ki “karm athava karmaroopi yajn, aur srishti arthat praja, ye sab sath hi utpann hue haian.” phir chahe is srishti ko pratyaksh brahmadev se nirmit huee kaho athava mimaansakoan ki naee yah kaho ki us brahmadev ne nity ved-shabdoan se usako banaya- arth donoan ka ek hi hai[10]. saraansh, drishy-srishti ka nirman hone ke samay mool nirgun brahm mean jo dikh p data hai, vahi karm hai.
