jab praniyoan ke sukh-duahkh adi sab ‘bhav’ usi se utpann hote haian[1], aur jab praniyoan ke hriday mean shraddha uth‍panh‍n karane vala bhi vahi hai evan ‘‘labhate ch tat: kaman mayaiv vihitan hi tanh’’ [2]- praniyoan ki vasanaoan ka phal dene vala bhi vahi hai; tab to yahi bat siddh hoti hai, ki vah avyakt arthat indriyoan ko agochar bhale hi ho, tathapi vah daya, kartritv adi gunoan se yukh‍t arthat ‘sagun’ avashy hi hoga. parantu isake viruddh bhagavan aisa bhi kahate haian ki ‘‘n maan karmani limpanti’’-mujhe karmoan ka arthat gunoan ka kabhi sparsh bhi nahian hota [3]; prakriti ke gunoan se mohit ho kar moorkh log atma hi ko karta manate haian [4]; athava yah avyakt aur akarta parameshvar hi praniyoan ke hriday mean jivaroop se nivas karata hai[5] aur isiliye yadyapi vah praniyoan ke kartavy aur karm se vastutah alipt hai, tathapi ajnan mean phanse hue log mohit ho jaya karate haian. [6]

is prakar avyakt arthat indriyoan ko agochar parameshvar ke roop-sagun aur nirgun- do tarah ke hi nahian haian; pratyut isake atirikt kahian kahian in donoan roopoan ko ek mila kar bhi avyakt parameshvar ka varnan kiya gaya hai. udaharanarth, ‘‘bhootabhrit n ch bhootastho’’[7]- maian bhootoan ka adhar hokar bhi unamean nahian hooan, ‘‘parabrahm n to sat hai aur n asat’’ [8]; ‘‘sarvendriyavan hone ka jisamean bhas ho parantu jo sarvendriy-rahit hai; aur nirgun hokar gunoan ka upabhog karane vala hai’’ [9]; ‘‘door hai aur samip bhi hai’’ [10]; ‘‘avibhakt hai aur vibhakt bhi dekh p data hai’’[11]- is prakar parameshvar ke sh‍varoop ka sagun-nirgun mishrit arthat paraspar virodhi varnan bhi kiya gaya hai. tathapi arambh mean, doosare hi adhyay mean kaha gaya hai ki ‘yah atma avyakt, achinty aur avikary hai’ [12]; aur isake age terahavean adhyay mean -‘‘yah paramatma anadi, nirgun aur avyakt hai isaliye sharir mean rah kar bhi n to yah kuchh karata hai aur n kisi mean lipt hota hai’’[13]- is prakar paramatma ke shuddh, nirgun, niravayav, nirvikar, achinty, anadi aur avyakt roop ki hi shreshh‍thata ka varnan kiya gaya hai.

bhagavadgita ki bhaanti upanishadoan mean bhi avyakt paramatma ka sh‍varoop tin prakar ka paya jata hai- arthat kabhi sagun, kabhi ubhayavidh yani sagun-nirgun mishrit aur kabhi keval nirgun. is bat ki koee avashyakata nahian ki upasana ke liye sada pratyaksh moorti hi netroan ke samane rahe. aise sh‍varoop ki bhi upasana ho sakati hai ki jo nirakar arthat chakshu adi jnanendriyoan ko agochar ho. parantu jisaki upasana ki jay, vah chakshu adi jnanendriyoan ko gochar bhale hi n ho; to bhi man ko gochar hue bina usaki upasana hona sambhav nahian hai. upasana kahate haian chintan, manan ya dhyan ko. yadi chintit vastu ka koee roop n ho, to n sahi; parantu jab tak usaka any koee bhi gun man ko maloom n ho jay tab tak vah chintan karega hi kisaka?
