is prakaran ke aranbh hi mean batala diya gaya hai ki srishtayutpatti kram ke bare mean kuchh bhinn bhinn vichar paye jate haian; jaise shrriti-smriti-puranoan mean kahian kahian kaha hai ki pratham brahmadev ya hiranayagarbh utpann hua, athava pahale pani utpann hua aur usamean parameshvar ke bij se ek suvarnayamay aanda nirmit hua. parantu in sab vicharoan ko gon tatha upalakshanatmak samajh kar jab unaki uth‍patti batalane ka samay ata hai tab yahi kaha jata hai ki, hiranagarbh athava brahmadev hi prakriti hai. bhagavadgita [1] mean trigunatmak prakriti hi ko brahm kaha hai ‘‘mam yonirmahat brahm’’ aur bhagavan nean yah bhi kaha hai ki, hamare bij se is prakriti mean trigunoan ke dvara anek moortiyaan utpanh‍n hoti haian. any sthanoan mean aisa varnan hai ki brahmadev se aranbh mean daksh prabhriti sat manas putr athava manu utpann hue aur unhoanne age sab char-achar srishti ka nirman kiya[2]; aur isi ka gita mean bhi ek bar ullekh kiya gaya hai [3]. parantu vedant granth yah pratipadan karate haian ki in sab bhinn bhinn varnanoan mean brahmadev ko hi prakriti man lene se, uparyukt tatvik srishtayutpatti kram se mel ho jata hai; aur, yahi nyay any sthanoan mean bhi upayogi ho sakata hai.

udaharanarth, shaiv tatha pashupat darshanoan mean shiv ko nirmit karan man kar yah kahate haian ki usi se kary-karan adi paanch padarth utpann hue; aur narayaniy ya bhagavatadharm mean vasudev ko pradhan man kar yah varnan kiya hai ki, pahale vasudev se sakarshan jiv hua, sankarshan se pradyumn man aur pradyumn se aniruddh ahankar utpann hua. parantu vedantashastr ke anusar jiv pratyek samay naye sire se uth‍panh‍n nahian hota. vah nity aur sanatan parameshvar ka nity— atev anadi— aansh hai; isaliye vedantasootr ke doosare adhyay ke doosare pad [4] mean, bhagavatadharm mean varnit jiv ke utpatti vishayak uparyukh‍t mat ka khandan karake, kaha hai ki vah mat ved-viruddh atev tyajy hai. gita [5]mean vedantasootroan ke isi siddhant ka anuvad kiya gaya hai. isi prakar, saankhy vadi prakriti aur purush donoan ko svatantr tattv manate haian; parantu is dvait ko svikar n kar vedantiyoan ne yah siddhanh‍t kiya hai ki, prakriti aur purush donoan tattv ek hi nity aur nirgun paramatma ki vibhootiyaan hai. yahi siddhant bhagavadgita ko bhi grahy hai [6].

parantu is vishay ka vistarapoorvak vivechan agale prakaran mean kiya jayega. yahaan par keval itana hi batalana hai ki, bhagavat ya narayaniy dharm mean varnit vasudev-bhakti ka aur pravriti -pradhan dharm ka tattv yadyapi bhagavadgita ko many hai; tathapi gita bhagavatadharm ki is kalpana se sahamat nahian hai, ki pahale vasudev se sankarshan ya jiv utpann hua aur usase age pradyumh‍n man tatha pradyumh‍n se aniruddh (ahankar) ka pradurbhav hua.sankarshan, pradyumh‍n ya aniruddh ka nam tak gita mean nahian paya jata. pancharatr mean batalaye hue bhagavat dharm mean tatha gita pratipadit bhagavat dharm mean yahi to mahattv ka bhed hai. is bat ka ullekh yahaan janaboojh kar kiya gaya hai kyoanki keval itane hi se, ki ‘‘bhagavadgita mean bhagavatadharm batalaya gaya hai,’’ koee yah n samajh le ki srishtayutpattik kram vishayak athava jiv parameshvar svaroop vishayak bhagavat adi bhakti sanpraday ke mat bhi gita ko many hai. ab is bat ka vichar kiya jayega ki, saankhy-shastrok prakriti aur purush ke bhi pare sab vyaktavyakt tatha ksharakshar jagat ke mool mean koee doosara tattv hai ya nahian. isi ko adhyatm ya vedant kahate haian.
