isake ulta vedasanhita, upanishadh aur smriti-granthoan mean prakriti ko mool n man kar parabrahm ko mool mana hai; aur parabrahm se srishti ki utpatti hone ke vishay mean bhinn varnan kiye gaye haian:- jaise ‘‘hiranayagarbhah samavartatagre bhootasy jatah patirek asith” -pahale hiranayagarbh [1], aur is hiranayagarbh se athava saty se sab srishti utpann huee [2], athava pahale pani utpann hua [3]aur phir usase srishti huee; is pani mean ek aanda utpann hua aur usase brahma utpanh‍n hua, tatha brahma se athava us mool aande se hi sara jagath utpann hua [4]; athava vahi brahma (purush) adhe hisse se stri ho gaya [5], athava pani utpann hone ke pahale hi purush tha [6]; athava pahale parabrahm se tej, pani, aur prithvi ( ann ) yahi tin tattv utpann hue aur pashchath unake mishran se sab padarth bane ([7]. yadyapi ukt varnanoan mean bahut bhinnata hai, tathapi vedantasootroan [8] mean aantim nirnay yah kiya gaya hai, ki atmaroopi moolabrahm se hi akash adi panchamahabhoot kramashah utpann hue haian [9]. prakriti, mahath adi tattvoan ka bhi ullekh kath [10], maitrayani [11], shvetashvar [12] adi upanishadoan mean spasht riti se kiya gaya hai.

isase dekh p dega ki, yadyapi vedanh‍t mat vale prakriti ko svatantr n manate hoan, tathapi jab ek bar shuddh brahm hi mean mayatmak prakritiroop vikar drishtigochar hone lagata hai tab, age srishti ke utpatti-kram ke sambandh mean unaka aur saankhyamat valoan ka aant mean mel ho gaya aur, isi karan mahabharat mean kaha hai ki ‘‘ itihas, puran, arthashastr adi mean jo kuchh jnan bhara hai vah sab saankhyoan se prapt hua hai ‘‘ [13]. usaka yah matalab nahian hai, ki vedantiyoan ne athava pauranikoan ne yah jnan kapil se prapt kiya hai; kintu yahaan par keval itana hi arth abhipret hai, ki srishti ke utpatti-kram ka jnan sarvatr ek sa dekh p data hai. itana hi nahian; kintu yah bhi kaha ja sakata hai, ki yahaan par saankhy shabd ka prayog ‘jnan’ ke vyapak arth hi mean kiya gaya hai. kapilachary ne srishti ke utpatti-kram ka varnan shastriy drishti se vishesh paddhati-poorvak kiya hai; aur bhagavadgita mean bhi vishesh karake isi saankhy-kram ko svikar kiya gaya hai; is karan usi ka vivechan is prakaran mean kiya jayega. saankhyoan ka siddhant hai ki, indriyoan ko agochar arthath avyakt, sookshm, aur charoan or akhandit bhare hue ek hi niravayav mal dravy se, sari vyakt srishti uth‍panh‍n huee hai. yah siddhant pashchim deshoan ke arvachin adhibhautik-shastrajnoan ko grahy hai. grahy hi kyoan, ab to unhoanne yah bhi nishchit kiya hai, ki is mool dravy ki shakti ka kramashah vikas hota aya hai, aur poorvapar kram ko chho d achanak ya nirarthak kuchh bhi nirman nahian hua hai.
