aise prayatnoan se jab buddhi sattvik ho jati hai, to phir usamean jnan, vairagy, aishvary adi gun utpann hote haian aur manushy aant mean kaivaly pad prapt ho jata hai. jis vastu ko pane ki manushy ichchha karata hai use prapt kar lene ke yog-samarthy ko hi yahaan aishvary kaha hai. saankhy-mat ke anusar dharm ki ganana sattvik gun mean hi ki jati hai parantu kapilachary ne aant mean yah bhed kiya hai ki keval dharm se svarg-prapti hi hoti hai, aur jnan tatha vairagy ( sannyas ) se moksh ya kaivaly pad prapt hota hai tatha purush ke duahkhoan ki atyantik nivritti ho jati hai. jab deh indriyoan aur buddhi mean pahale sattv gun ka utkarsh hota hai aur jab dhire-dhire unnati hote-hote aant mean purush ko yah jnan ho jata hai ki maian trigunatmak prakriti se bhinn hooan, tab use saankhy-vadi "trigunatit" arthath sattv-raj-tam gunoan ke pare pahuancha hua kahate haian. is trigunatit avastha mean sattv-raj-tam mean se koee bhi gun shesh nahian rahata. kuchh sookshm vichar karane se manana p data hai ki yah trigunatit avastha sattvik, rajas aur tamas in tinoan avasthaoan se bhinn hai. isi abhipray se bhagavat mean bhaktti ke tamas, rajas aur sattvik bhed karane ke pashchath ek aur chautha bhed kiya gaya hai. tinoan gunoan ke par ho jane vala purush nirhetuk kahalata hai aur abhed bhav se jo bhaktti ki jati hai use ‘‘ nirgun bhaktti ‘‘ kahate haian [1].

parantu sattvik, rajas aur tamas in tin vargoan ki apeksha vargikaran ke tattvoan ko vyarth adhik badhana uchit nahian hai; isaliye saankhy-vadi kahate haian ki sattv gun ke atyant utkarsh se hi aant mean trigunatit avastha prapt hua karati hai aur isaliye ve is avastha ki ganana sattvik varg mean hi karate haian. gita mean bhi yahi mat svikar kiya gaya hai. udaharanarth, vahaan kaha hai ki ‘‘ jis abhedatmak jnan se yah maloom ho ki sab kuchh ek hi hai usi ko sattvik jnan kahate hai ‘‘[2]. isake siva sattvagun ke varnan ke bad hi, gita mean 14 vean adhyay ke aant mean, trigunatit avastha ka varnan hai; parantu bhagavadgita ko yah prakriti aur purush-vala dvait many nahian hai isaliye dhyan rakhana chahiye ki gita mean ‘prakriti’, ‘purush’, ‘trigunatit‘ ityadi saankhy-vadiyoan ke paribhashik shabdoan ka upayog kuchh bhinn arth mean kiya gaya hai; athava yah kahiye ki gita mean saankhy-vadiyoan ke dvait par advait parabrahma ki ‘ chhap ‘ sarvatr lagi huee hai. udaharanarth, saankhy-vadiyoan ke prakriti-purush-bhed ka hi, gita ke 13 vean adhyay mean, varnan hai [3]. parantu vahaan ‘ prakriti ‘ aur ‘ purush ‘ shabdoan ka upayog kshetr aur kshetrajn ke arth mean hua hai. isi prakar 14 vean adhyay mean trigunatit avastha ka varnan [4] bhi us siddh purush ke vishay mean kiya gaya hai jo trigunatmak maya ke phande se chhoot kar us paramatma ko pahachanata hai jo ki prakriti aur purush ke bhi pare hai.
