saankhy matanusar jab satkary-vad siddh ho jata hai, tab yah mat ap hi ap chhoot jata hai ki drishy srishti ki utpatti shoony se huee hai. kyoanki shoony se arthat jo kuchh bhi nahian hai; usase ‘jo astitv mean hai’ vah utpann nahian ho sakata. is bat se yah saph saph siddh hota hai, ki srishti kisi n kisi padarth se utpann huee hai; aur is samay srishti mean jo gun hamean dekh p date haian ve hi is moolapadarth mean bhi hone chahiye. ab yadi ham srishti ki or dekhean to hamean pashu, manushy, patthar, sona, chaandi, hira, jal, vayu ityadi anek padarth dekh p date haian; aur in sab ke roop tatha gun bhi bhinn bhinn haian. saankhy vadiyoan ka siddhant hai ki yah bhinnata ya nanatv adi mean arthat moolapadarth mean nahian hai; kiantu mool mean sab vastuoan ka dravy ek hi sa hai. arvachin rasayan-shastrajnoan ne bhinn bhinn dravyoan ka prithakh‍karan karake pahale 62 moolatattv dhooandh nikale the; parantu ab pashchimi vijnanavettaoan ne bhi yah nishchay kar liya hai ki ye 62 moolatattv svatantr ya svayansiddh nahian haian, kiantu in sab ki j d mean koee n koee ek hi padarth hai aur us padarth se hi soory, chandr, taragan, prithvi ityadi sari srishti utpann huee hai. isaliye ab ukt siddhaant ka adhik vivechan avashyak nahian hai. jagat ke sab padarthoan ka jo ‘‘mool’’ dravh‍y hai, use hi saankhh‍yashash‍troan mean ‘’prakriti’’ kahate haian. is prakriti se age jo padarth banate haian unhean ‘‘vikriti’’ arthat mool dravy ke vikar kahate haian.

parantu yadyapi sab padarthoan mean mooladravy ek hi hai tathapi, yadi is mooladravy mean gun bhi ek hi ho to, satkary-vadanusar is ek hi gun se anek gunoan ka utpann hona sanbhav nahian hai. aur, idhar to jab ham is jagat ke patthar, mitti, pani, sona, ityadi bhinn padarthoan ki or dekhate haian, tab unamean bhinn bhinn anek gun paye jate haian. isaliye pahale sab padarthoan ke gunoan ka nirikshan karake saankhyavadiyoan ne in gunoan ke sattv, raj aur tam ye tin bhed ya varg kar diye haian. isaka karan yahi hai ki, jab ham kisi bhi padarth ko dekhate haian tab svabhavatahusaki do bhinn bhinn avasthaean dekh p dati haian; -pahali shuddh, nirmal ya poornavastha aur doosari usake viruddh nikrishtavastha. parantu, sath hi sath nikrishtavastha se poornavastha ki or badhane ki us padarth ki pravriti bhi drishtigochar hua karati hai, yahi tisari avastha hai. in tinoan avasthaoan mean se shuddhavastha ya poornavastha ko sattvik, nikrishtavastha ko tamasik aur pravartakavastha ko rajasik kahate haian. is prakar saankhy-vadi kahate haian, ki sattv, raj aur tam tinoan gun sab padarthoan ke mooladravy mean arthat pravriti mean aranbh se hi raha karate haian. yadi yah kaha jay ki in tin gunoan hi ko prakriti kahate haian, to anuchit nahian hoga. in tinoan gunoan mean se pratyek gun ka jor aranbh mean saman ya barabar rahata hai, isiliye pahale pahal yah prakriti samyavastha mean rahati hai. yah samyavastha jagat ke aanrabh mean thi; aur jagat ka lay ho jane par aant mean phir se ho jayegi.
