aise duahkhoan se bache rahane ka sahaj upay yahi hai ki sirph vishay ki phalasha, sang, kam ya asakti ko manonigrah dvara chho d dena chahiye; sannyasamargiyoan ke kathananusar sab vishayoan aur karm hi ko, athava sab prakar ki ichchhaoan hi ko, chho d dene ki koee avashyakata nahian hai. isiliye [1] mean kaha hai, ki jo manushy phalasha ko chho dakar yathaprapt vishayoan ka nishkam aur nissang buddhi se sevan karata hai, vahi sachcha sthitaprajn hai. sansar ke karm-vyavahar kabhi ruk nahian sakate. manushy chahe is sansar mean rahe ya n rahe; parantu prakriti apane gun-dharmanusar sadaiv apana vyapar karati hi rahegi. j d prakriti ko n to isamean kuchh sukh hai aur n duahkh. manushy vyarth hi apani mahata samajh kar prakriti ke vyavaharoan mean asakt ho jata hai, isiliye vah sukh-duahkh ka bhagi hua karata hai. yadi vah is asakt-buddhi ko chho d de aur apane sab vyavahar is bhavana se karane lage, ki “guna guneshu vartante’’ [2]-prakriti ke gun- dharmanusar hi sab vyapar ho rahe haian, to asantoshajanak koee bhi duahkh usako ho hi nahian sakata. isiliye vyasaji ne yah samajh kar, ki prakriti to apana vyapar karati hi rahati hai, usake liye sansar ko duahkhapradhan man kar rote nahian rahana chahiye aur n usako tyag ne hi ka dam bharana chahiye, mahabharat[3] mean yudhishthir ko yah upadesh diya hai kiah-

sukhan va yadi va duahkhan priyan va yadi vaapriyamh . praptan praptamupasit hridayenaparajitah ..

“chahe sukh ho ya duahkh, priy lage athava apriy, parantu jo kary jis samay jaise a p de, use usi samay man ko nirash n karate hue arthat man ko uchatane n dekar aur apane kartavy ko n chho date hue karate jao’’ is upadesh ka mahattv poornataya tabhi jnat ho sakata hai jabaki ham is bat ko dhyan mean rakhean ki sansar mean anek kartavy aise hai jinhean duahkh sah kar bhi karana p data hai. bhagavadgita mean sthitaprajn ka yah lakshan batalaya hai ki “yah sarvatranabhisnehastatatprapy shubhashubhamh’’ [4]arthath shubh athava ashubh jo kuchh ap de, us ke bare mean jo sada nishkam ya nissang rahata hai aur jo usaka abhinandan ya dvesh kuchh bhi nahian karata vahi sthitaprajn hai. phir paanchavean adhyay[5] mean kaha hai ki “n prahshh‍yetpriyan prapy nodvijetprapy chapriyamh’’- sukh pakar phool n jana chahiye aur duahkh se khinn bhi nahian hona chahiye; evan doosare adhyay[6] mean in sukh-duahkhoan ko nishkam buddhi se bhogane ka upadesh kiya hai.

bhagavan shrikrishn ne isi upadesh ko bar bar duharaya hai [7]. vedantashastr ki paribhasha mean isi ko “sab karmoan ko brahmarpan karana’’ kahate haian; aur bhaktimarg mean ‘brahmarpan’ ke badale ‘shrikrishnarpan’ shabd ki yojana ki jati hai; bas yahi gitarth ka saraansh hai. karm chahe kisi bhi prakar ka ho, parantu karm karane ki ichchha aur udyog ko bina chho de tatha phal-prapti ki asakti n rakh kar (arthat nissang buddhi se) use karate rahana chahiye, aur sath sath hamean bhavishy mean parinam-svaroop mean milane vale sukh-duahkhoan ko bhi ek hi saman bhogane ke liye taiyar rahana chahiye. aisa karane se amaryadit trishna aur asantosh-janit dushparinamoan se to ham bacheange hi; parantu doosara labh yah hoga,
