mahabharat: shanti parv: ekavianshath‍yadhikashatatam adhyay: shlok 23-44 ka hindi anuvad


danh‍d sarvatr vh‍yapak hone ke karan bhagavanh vishh‍nu hai aur naroan (manushh‍yoan) ka ayan (ashram) hone se narayan kahalata hai. vah prabhavashali hone se prabhu aur sada mahath rup dharan karata hai, isaliye mahan purush kahalata hai. isi prakar danh‍daniti bhi brahmaji ki kanh‍ya kahi gayi hai. lakshh‍mi, vriti, sarasvati tatha jagaddhaji bhi usi ke nam hai. is prakar danh‍d ke bahut-se rup hai. arth-anarth, sukh-du:kh, dharm-adharm, bal-abal, durbhagh‍y-saubhagh‍y, punh‍y-pap, gun-avagun, kam-akam, rritu-mas, din-rat, kshan, pramad-apramad, harsh-krodh, sham-dam, daiv-purusharth, banh‍dh-moksh, bhay-abhay, hiansa-ahiansa, tap-yajn, sanyam, vish-avish, adi, anh‍t, madhh‍y, kary vish‍tar, mad, asavadhanata, darp, damh‍bh, dhairy, niti-aniti, shakti-ashakti, man,sh‍tabh‍dhata, vh‍yay-avh‍yay, vinay,dan, kal-akal, sath‍y-asath‍y, jnan, shraddha-ashraddha ,akarmanh‍yata,udyog, labh-hani, jay-parajay, tikshh‍nata-mriduta, mrith‍yu, ana-jana, virodh-avirodh, kartavh‍y-akartavh‍y, sabalata-nirbalata, asooya-anasooya, dharm-adharm , lajh‍ja-alajh‍ja, samh‍pati-vipati, sh‍than, tej, karm, pandith‍y, vakshakti tatha tath‍vabodh ye sab danh‍d ke hi anek nam aur rup hai. kurunanh‍dan! is prakar is jagath mean danh‍d ke bahut-se rup hai.

yudhishthir! yadi sansar mean danh‍d ki vh‍yavash‍tha n hoti to sab log ek-doosare ko nashh‍t kar dalate. danh‍d ke bhay se manushh‍y apas mean mar-kat nahian machate haian. rajanh! danh‍d se surakshit rahati huee praja hi is jagath mean apane raja ko pratidin dhan-dhanh‍y se samh‍panh‍n karati rahati hai. isaliye danh‍d hi sabako ashray dene vala hai. nareshh‍var! danh‍d hi is lok ko shighr hi sath‍y mean sh‍thapit karata hai. sath‍y mean hi dharm ki sthiti hai aur dharm brahmanoan mean sthit haian. dharmayukh‍t shreshh‍th brahman vedoan ka sh‍vadhh‍yay karate haian. vedoan se hi yajn prakat hua hai. yajn devataoan ko pratidin prarthana karate haian, isase inh‍dr se prajajanoan par anugrah karake (samay par varsha ke dvara kheti upajakar) unh‍hean anh‍n deta hai, samash‍t praniyoan ke pran sada anh‍n par hi tieke hue haian; isaliye danh‍d se hi prajaoan ki sthiti bani huee hai. vahi unaki raksha ke liye sada jagat rahata hai. is prakar raksha rupi prayojan siddh karane vala danh‍d kshatriyabhav ko praph‍t hua hai. vah avinashi hone ke karan sada savadhan hokar praja ki raksha ke liye jagata rahata hai.

eeshh‍var, purush, pran, sath‍v, chit, prajapati, bhootath‍ma tatha jiv-in ath namoan se danh‍d ka hi pratipadan kiya jata hai. jo sarvada sainik-bal se samh‍panh‍n hai tatha jo dharm, vh‍yavahar, danh‍d, eeshh‍var aur jivarup se paanch[1] prakar ke sh‍varup dharan karata hai, us raja ko eeshh‍var ne hi danh‍daniti tatha apana aishh‍vary pradan kiya hai.

yudhishthir! raja ka bal do tarah ka hota hai- ek prakrit aur doosara ahary. unamean se kul, prachur, dhan, manh‍tri tatha buddhi ye char prakritik bal kahe gaye haian, ahary bal usase bhinh‍n haian. vah nimh‍nakit ath vash‍tuoan ke dvara ath prakar ka mana gaya hai. hathi, gho de, rath, paidal, nauka, begar, desh ki praja tatha bhe d adi pashu-ye ath aango vala bal ahary mana gaya hai.
