yudhishthir ne poochha- achyut! bhagavan! apake bhakt kaise hote haian aur unake niyam kaun-kaun se haian? yah batane ki kripa kijiye; kh‍yoanki deveshh‍var! maian bhi apake charanoan mean bhakh‍ti rakhata hooan. shribhagavan ne kaha- rajan! jo doosare kisi devata ke bhakh‍t n hokar keval mari hi sharan le chuke hoan tatha mere bhakh‍tajanoan ke sath prem rakhate hoan, ve hi mere bhakh‍t kahe gaye haian. panh‍davashreshth! sh‍varg aur yash dene vale hone ke sath hi jo mujhe vishesh priy hoan, aise vratoan ka hi mere bhakt palan karate haian. bhakt purush ko jal mean tairate samay ek vash‍tr ke siva doosara nahian dharan karana chahiye. sh‍vash‍th rahate hue din mean kabhi nahian sona chahiye. madhu aur maans ko th‍yag dena chahiye. marg mean brahman, gau, pipal aur agh‍ni ke milane par unako dahine karake jana chahiye. pani barasate samay dau dana nahian chahiye. pahale milane vali bhiksha ka th‍yag nahian karana chahiye.

khali namak nahian khana chahiye tatha saubhaanjan aur karanjan ka bhakshan nahian karana chahiye. gau ko pratidin gras arpan kare aur anh‍n mean khataee milakar n khay. doosare ke ghar se uthakar ayi huee rasoee, basi anh‍n tatha bhagavan ko bhog n lagaye hue padarth ka bhi prayath‍napoorvak th‍yag kare. bahe de aur karanj ki chhaya se door rahe, kashh‍t mean p dane par bhi brahmanoan aur devataoan ki ninh‍da n kar. sooryoday ke bad nith‍y kriyashil rahane vale buddhiman aur charoan vedoan ke vidvan brahman ke sharir mean bhi chh: vrishal bataye jate haian. panh‍davashreshh‍th! kshatriyoan ke sharir mean sat vrishal janane chahiye, vaishh‍yoan ke deh mean ath vrishal bataye gaye haian aur shoodroan mean ikh‍kis vrishaloan ka nivas mana gaya hai. kam, krodh, lobh, mad, moh aur mahamoh- ye chh: vrishal brahmanoan ke sharir mean sh‍thit bataye gaye haian. garv, sh‍tamh‍bh (jadata), ahankar, eershh‍ya, droh, parushh‍y (kathor bolana) aur kroorata- ye sat kshatriy-sharir mean rahane vale vrishan haian. tikshh‍nata, kapat, maya, shathata, damh‍bh, saralata ka abhav, chugali aur asath‍y-bhashan-ye ath vaishh‍y-sharir ke vrishal haian.

trishh‍na, khane ki ichh‍chha, nidra, alash‍y, nirdayata, kroorata, manasik chinh‍ta, vishad, pramad, adhirata, bhay, ghabarahat, jadata, pap, krodh, asha, ashraddha, anavash‍tha, nirankushata, apavitrata aur malinata- ye ikh‍kis brishal shoodr ke sharir mean rahane vale bataye gaye haian. ye sabhi brishal jisake bhitar n dikhayi dean, vahi vash‍tav mean brahman kahalata hai. at: yadi brahman mera priy hona chahe to sath‍vik, pavitr aur krodhahin hokar meri pooja karata rahe. jisaki jihva chanchal nahian hai, jo dhairy dharan kiye rahata hai aur char hath age tak drishh‍ti rakhate hue chalata hai, jisane apane chanchal man aur vani ko vash mean karake bhay se chhutakara pa liya hai, vah mera bhakh‍t kahalata hai. aise adhh‍yath‍m jnan se yukh‍t jitenh‍driy brahman jin ke yahaan shraddh mean triph‍tipoorvak bhojan karate haian, unake pitar us bhojan se poorn triph‍t hote haian. dharm ki jay hoti hai, adharm ki nahian; sath‍y ki vijay hoti hai, asath‍y ki nahian tatha kshama ki jit hoti hai, krodh ki nahian. isaliye brahman ko kshamashil hona chahiye.
